The prompts are giving more summer camp theme than spooky halloween
@Little_Miss_CarrexАй бұрын
I think the lack of variety is worse than the lack of spookiness. Last years prompts had soo much more variety than this years lot.
@chloek1182Ай бұрын
@@Little_Miss_Carrex yeah this year's list seems so uncreative, like he just was thinking of interrelated words
@SokolvaАй бұрын
Yep, they went for a travel theme, but it sucks how many words are literally synonyms of the others and how many very very similar and evoke the same vibe. Hike, Trek, Expedition are all synonyms with slightly different meanings, and Camp, Horizon, and Uncharted are similar and will likely produce similar images. Add to that Road and Drive, similar images and usages, and then the amount of books: Guidebook, Journal, Passport. These will likely all have you drawing book type objects unless you twist them very creatively. Then Binoculars and Camera are two lens based objects from the modern world, once again hsving you draw two very similar objects. A travel theme could have definitely been done, but the diversity of the prompts used are really bad. And a lot of people dislike the theme idea because they like to do their own theme and project and incorporate the words into them. Overall, this is the first year I’ve seen people extremely unhappy with the words and choosing other lists because of it, and I get why. It’s a stagnant and unevokative group that doesn’t give you as much room for interpretation as most of the past lists.
@genericname274728 күн бұрын
Yeah it's so boring. I'm fine with no spooky prompts, you can just make it spooky. But how do you make 4 different drawings for hike, trek, roam, and expedition

1:49:49 - the idea that scarecrows do not work to scare off crows specifically is not unfounded, but the point is not to make a perfectly human-looking mannequin with the straw and the clothes - it's THE SMELL of the human clothes. It makes the area SMELL like a human is there, so highly smell-oriented animals will avoid it for, like, a few days. Then the smell dissipates, so the farmer has to come back and replace the clothes - that's a part of it no one talks about! You have to swap the clothes out FREQUENTLY to leave living-human-smell in the area. (Source, I read it somewhere, years ago now... I can probably find an online article about it if questioned, but if I can, so can you!)
