Drawing a Hyper Realistic Eye using Coloured Pencils

(The iris is big because the reference is a child's eye , they have larger iris and pupil)
New video!! woo! yeah I know it's been SO long but I've got a few videos and tutorials planned now and I'm really hoping to post more often - starting with this video! Also I know I've drawn eyes before but I really tried with this one and I guess its interesting to see progression through time... plus realism is a real challenge for me. Though there are many characters I plan to draw soon :) thanks for all the continued support everyone. Enjoy the video!!

I've been waiting for a year but there you are! Finally back with another great masterpiece :) I simply love how you catch details and even more how you create shadows just by combining colors! Great use of the white pencil/pen :P It's amazing how well you could give the idea of a reflection inside the eye, I'm sincerely impressed. This is clearly the result of an incredible practice, experience and outstanding skills :) and I can imagine that it took a lot of time too! Keep up the great work polaara :D I can't wait to see what you'll send next.

Realism does not seem to be a challenge for you at all. The only thing that could be considered unrealistic at a glance is the size of the iris, but I do not know what the reference picture was, so for all I know, it could have been an edited photograph of an eye with an enlarge iris or maybe a young child's eye. Either way, it is very beautiful and definitely a major improvement from your last one.
