Not just a realistic eye but a really cool interpretation of one; even the whites of the eyes and lower eye lids look neat.

Hoi Wim, Oh leuk dat je ook realistisch tekent. Het materiaal dat ik gebruik om potlood te vervagen wordt in het Nederlands ook wel Doezelaar genoemd. Groetjes en dat zal ik zeker doen!

Your way of drawing is really beautiful and moved me contemplate as was becoming more and more real.. I can't explain how it feels .. when expression is art, is when the art is alive. PD: Sorry if my English is bad, I'm Argentinian

@TheClosetedFreak Thank you for letting me know ^^. I totally forgot about my drawing paper. Well I use 200 g/m2 drawingpaper. It's pretty strong paper and has a smooth surface. I hope this information can help you and others! And I hope I wont forget about my type of paper in my next drawing video ;)

I'm sure you are used to the "wow! Amazing!"s, but this is just so artfully done. I'm 15, and have been studying art in my spare time for two years now, so I speak from some experience, but the angle of each lash, making the eye look moist, the seeing the world in the reflection, the induvidual little specks of colour in the iris is all done so well. I know that as an artist, there is always improvemements that can be made, but I can't see any. You mentioned lessons?

It takes so much time and patience and devotion, simply because you've been able to keep strong in position and just keep learning and practising means you're a worthy person and artist , and to be honest, I don't think i can compete with THAT . But that's ok, admire people like you and their hard-achieved work somehow feels like a reward too ^^

Just beautiful, watching you draw with such an eye, if you forgive the pun, for detail. I envy you your talent. I might have been able to draw like that when I was a lot younger , but have lost the ability now. Congratulations , and don't let anything get in your way of continuing it would be such a shame if you did. Loved watching, thanks for sharing.

TIP: If you don't have tortillions, then I would suggest to use tissues instead. That can also be used to blend your shading. But Tortillions are better material for pencil artist, since they are more accurate. I hope this answer could help you.

I hope this background information about Tweety(The bird in the video) will make you feel better. Tweety was almost 12 years old when he passed away. During his lifetime we let him out of the cage in our livingroom everyday. From morning till we had dinner. He was more out of his cage then in. He loved flying around in our livingroom and sitting with us. When he was hungry, he flew to his cage to eat. It was a really happy bird and I have loved him very much. The video shows him at his old age.

for some reason I find it really easy to copy other people's work pretty well, but as soon as it comes to creating something new I find it difficult. It's not that I can't think of anything, it's just that it's hard to get an exact picture of what you want it to look like in your head. That's where references come in.

Since I was a kid I used to breath, eat ,and sleep art. I could stay all day staring at every single detail, asking myself, “Could really I do that?”. Somebody in DA suggested that If I ever want to be a better artist I have to copy what I like about a favorite artist’s work, maybe there nose, eyes, or hands, something always halted me. I had this profound feeling of being unoriginal, this, in a strange way upsets me. I really cant put a pen on paper without seeing seeing my art as different.

I love this! Q: Where do you get your utensils? Yes I know you can get a HB pencil and a 0.5 mm mechanical pencil anywhere. But I was wondering about your 6B graphite pencil and tortillions? I mostly just use a HB 2 pencil and a 0.7 mechanical pencil and for shading mostly my fingers so I that's why I was wondering.
