Greenville S.C,.is having Artisphere this weekend. It is one of the top three art shows in the country. I would love for you to apply for a spot in it. Not everyone that applies gets in. Only the best get in. I believe that you are one of the best in charcoal. People from all over the world come to this three day event.

I appreciate the invite and I'm flattered by your kind words. Unfortunately, I wouldn't be able to make it this year,. But I'll check out for the future. Thanks!

Another epic painting. I'm in New Zealand and am getting ready to paint a native hawk in flight,doing the feathers is so satisfying using charcoal, I use watercolour paper usually but I'm going have a go using your method,looks so much more substantial.

Incredible contrast on this fierce looking bird, Joel. Intense work on the intricacies as well. You truly are tuned in to your detail work lately! Great work, man! Troy

That is stunning. Do you ever get tired of hearing how ridiculously beautiful your work is? Cuz if you do….you are indeed going to be one tired man. Hahaha.

1:00 was that acetone that you sprayed on the canvas? What function does it serve?
@JoelPilcherArt Жыл бұрын
Yes, it was acetone. I use it for effect and it helps blend and seal the charcoal. I did a recent video explaining it in detail if you'd like more insight. Thanks!
