Hi Joel! Thank you SO much for this video. Does this technique work for white charcoal on canvas? I have prepared the canvas with pastel ground and acrylic.

Hi Joel! This has been the most helpful video, thank you for sharing your knowledge! Question for you: Do you know if it is the same process if I wanted to do a gloss varnish versus a satin varnish? Any feedback is much appreciated!

Thank you very much. I want to explore charcoal on canvas with acrylics as mixed medium art. One question: How do you wash your hands, is Soap sufficient?

Did you prep the canvas first?

Joel, where and who is doing your prints? If you don’t mind sharing. This is the part of the art world I don’t understand and who artist go to get their work printed for consumer purchase. Thank you.

Why don't you clip threads or dental floss to the edge of your canvas? Would that work?

Beautiful work! Now if I'm getting this right you put on workable fixative, then clear coat between layers of charcoal then you seal them with Krylon matt finish (dry 24 hours) then a layer of Golden soft gel gloss (mixed with water) dry 24 hours, then liquitex satin varnish, then paint your sides with black acrylic?
