Dear Social Justice Internet warriors, Please go back in this series where, with a few antisemitic strokes of his pencil, Mr. Jones emphasizes Gene Wilder's large nose in a caricature.!! We all need you to dig up racism where there is absolutely none because your virtue signalling on art tutorial videos inspires us all to be the best we can. Your political correctness is what human kind deserves. In fact I'm getting a little tired seeing these artists drawing on white paper. Why do they never use black paper? Or yellow paper for that matter?

So we aren't allowed to state our opinion in response to their opinion? If a person says "this is racist" it's not some opinion that should only be said in vacuum with no response.

To all of those complaining- Look at his art style on many of his pieces. He has a super cartoony and exaggerated style. Don't think it is this drawing being singled out because she's a woman, or because of her race. It is not offensive. Just because a few features are exaggerated for the sake of his style does NOT mean he is being offensive in any way shape or form.

Brilliant work! Caricaturists have my undying respect in that they are able to "GOOFY-UP" a person's face yet still make it absolutely recognizable as that person's face. This is an excellent example of that. VERY well done!! I get "IT"!!

I like how the comments went from "That's racist! i'm offended" straight to "It's not racist, and you're way too easily offended".

Nice explanation and finishing of the caricature. If I saw this drawing I'm a comic or cartoon, I would have instantly thought of Whoopi Goldberg.

The whole time I was watching this I was dreading the end of the video and scrolling down because we're in the bubble wrap era and white upperclass SJW are getting ready to be offended on behalf of other people again. The entire point of caricature is to find details of the face and heavily exaggerate them to a goofy degree, it wasn't a problem for you in the last videos why is it now?

Firstly, I'm white. What bothers me about this isn't whether of not the exaggeration choices are racist but how dismissive Court is of the criticism. At least one of the comments is quite well reasoned in it's critique when you do some research into historical caricature of black people and yet, as with the 'spirit animal' debacle, Court has not only entirely dismissed the issue without apparently considering the criticisms at all, he has also pinned inflammatory, condescending responses to the 'SJW's. Honestly, that is what makes me find him disrespectful. All that people really want is for others to be prepared to listen and consider peoples concerns, even if they don't end up in agreement. Here, he's chosen to be dismissive and inflammatory which has led to more devision. The unprofessional response strikes me as off-brand for Proko... It's quite unattractive.

I know your comment is old, but I feel compelled to tell you how much of a ridiculous and unserious person you are. The artist doesn’t have an issue with Whoopi’s skin tone, hair, or nose. Neither does Whoopi. You do, though. Maybe work on that. Weirdo...

are you not aware what caricatures are supposed to be? do you think they're supposed to be attractive? if you're critique is "this shares similarities with a bad thing that happened years ago", then it's a bad critique.

It kind of misses the uncanny valley because the forms themselves are non human-esque and not highly rendered. It's very different from a human if done right, but with the traits of said subject. What would fall into the uncanny valley would be maybe if you took a photo and changed only one trait (for example the eyes) with something very different from a human's. Or deformed it hard. You get the point. (That's from my understanding at least)

No? Caricature is highlighting the things that deviate from AVERAGE structure. Wouldn't it be good to highlight those deviations to embrace diversity? If drawing a black character as a black character is racist then I guess everyone is racist

Would you have liked it if he drew her with white people features? 💀 then you’d say “he’s erasing black features!!!”. Caricature is a style where you exaggerate the subject’s features, I hope you got a grip after all these years.

I know this comment is a year old but, this is not at all racist. She has defined cheeks, a short knows, a wide smile, and yes, big lips. It has nothing to do with race. Its just one more feature of the face that he exaggerated.
@rottenpizza8800
@rottenpizza8800 3 жыл бұрын
Bruh you must be blind. If someone has big nose then in caricature they will make them even bigger. Its simple as that. If the person doesn't look like him/her anymore then what's the point of caricature? If an Asian person to look like white or an Black person looks like an Asian in someone's drawing, then the likeness of the person in the drawing is all lost! If an Asain person has small eyes (we do tend to have slanted eyes) then he/she will have small eyes in the drawing! (it will be even smaller in the caricature! cuz that's the point of exaggeration!) 🤯🤷‍♀️ This is not some rocket science lol

This is really racially insensitive. Truth. If you can't find thoughtful ways to approach subjects that are in the racial minority you have my permission to skip them. You are getting complaints because you did a racist, horrible, offensive job... Also, this sensitivity your fans complain about... was created by white privilege's insensitivity.
