In today's lesson I am exploring a Drawing Exercise called: Seeing The World Differently.
In this excercise you play with scale, taking something very small or tiny and then drawing it as large as possible. The change of scale is really interesting and can take you into the world or abstraction.
The excerise was inspired by the book 100 Creative Drawing Ideas:

I was drawing this week using Derwent XL Charcoal - These are great fun:

Such a pleasure to watch, such an inspiring exercise. You’re a KZbin gem deserving of many more views. You’ve made three lovely drawings though yes the third, my favourite. I love that an exercise like this allows people, like me, who will never have the opportunity to go to art school to better understand its mystique

Lol ... when you were reading from the painters written words I was like wow that painter went deep..lol... thanks for the bit of laugh at begining of class...really appreciate this video....really I guess it's how you look at your subject and are able to draw your peoples attention to your drawing....the first drawing reminded me of a riverbed that the river is low....second picture reminds me of a rock outcropping during a night stroll...I'm not seeing the popcorn...yes I do see body and head deft...its amazing how artist draw or paint something and others see something else...the mind is such a mysterious thing...🤔

Thanks Marc - Yes I think when you draw forms in this way - It leaves room for interpretation. A bit like ink blots, or tea leaves, our minds make connections in a really personal way! - Thanks for watching.
