I’d seen people use shapes but they’ve never explained why they were doing it or how, so this video is really useful thanks
@RTIFEX3 жыл бұрын
Definitely, Luke. You can even build off of the simple shapes and use 3D shapes like cubes, cones, etc. if you want to add guides that provide more depth. This is a little more advanced, which is why I left it out.

This can take time but will come to you after a little practice. Start with the bigger shapes first, and don't worry about being exact. The shapes might be different for everyone, and that's ok. We all see things a little differently.

Really, there's no wrong way to create art! If you enjoy the process of working from side to side, keep doing that and develop your own style. I'm a huge proponent of doing what you love because it's about having fun. The construction technique in this video is just one tool artists can use to achieve accuracy. 😊

what did you mean when you said ", what level of drawing each person is at? by the way you are bad @ss. i like your style. But at age 47 i am still finding my style of drawing. i have been drawing since i can remember. Its hard for me to blend color. i dont know if i have a touch of color blindness. But i am trying. When growing up. Doctors said there was some thing wrong with my hands. My goal is to become pro. My goal is to learn how to draw hyperrealism. i struggle with reaching my goal. i draw every day.
@RTIFEX Жыл бұрын
Mainly if you consider yourself a beginner or more advanced. The 2 big things to know about hyperrealism are to go big and take your time. Large paper/canvases will help you fit in lots of details and possibly help you with your hand condition. It will also, naturally, take longer to finish art of this size, and the extra time spent focusing on the little things will make it that much more realistic. Good luck!
