I've watched this video a dozen times now and have it bookmarked. Similar techniques are used in videos by other artists, but your video is unbeatable at showing how it works. Studying this has helped me confidently take on sketches of public places, because adding a few people? No problem! And you demonstrate it in both ink and watercolor. I really appreciate this. You're awesome. Thank you so much for sharing.

Subscribed! Excellent thank you! Just starting doing sketching and painiting at a late age so this is great to see demonstrated. So much to learn! I still have difficulty getting my head round everyone's head being on the same line! What if it's a playground scene or a busy railway station? With the fancy brush (I have seen them advertised) is the technique to squeeze the brush instead of rinsing in a jar?
@alenagastaldi3 жыл бұрын
Indeed that was the technique. You wipe it on the tissue. You can use that brush for travel, but still have proper brushes for at home painting! I find the waterbrush quite inconvenient in most cases.

Hi Alena, I know that some persons work with the socalled "eye level". But in reality it does not work so easy. Let's say, a person is 180 cm high. So this is HIS eye level. All other persons with 180 cm height have their heads at the same height. Smaller people are deeper, and taller people are higher. Best example: a mother with her child. They walk hand in hand, and the child's eye level is below the mother's eye level. So only people with the same height are on the eye level of the beholder (drawer).
