The art direction of this game is everything the gaming industry needed, in a "modern gaming world" where characters are designed with hyper realism in mind, robbing any kind of stylization. Comparing the art direction of this game with the _Marvel's Avengers_ by Crystal Dynamics is like day and night. While _Marvel's Avengers_ went for a "We got MCU at home" approach, Marvel Rivals fully dives into the stylization of comic book art, with the exaggerated proportions.

I'm also a fan of this coloring style. Seems to be getting more popular since the Arcane show on Netflix. The cinema scenes in Apex Legends are also similar. It reminds It appears to emphasis harder brush edges and less emphasis on soft brushes, but I'd need to study it more.

Actually its more like 90's comics art style more than anime . the style of the game much more realistic than anime especially face features

You may be right, but the designs have heavy anime influences, and the cinematic animation and timing are peak anime.

Do you know where to get some high resolution versions of the key arts ? Ive been studying the way they render and the highest res ver. i could find was from the website (still not as great but good enough ) I’m scouring artstation but none from there yet

I think every art in the game are stylized 3D model right? I mean from icon or select screen , they are all 3D Model right???

Yes, every playable character in the game and cinematics are rigged 3d assets. However, the original character designs were created by an art team drawing on tablets with Photoshop or Clip Studio. Also, if I'm not mistaken, much of the promotional artwork for the game and character sheets is Photoshop.

Never question NetEase's art. They are the Chinese game company that likes to spend money on art style the most.
