That is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen!!!! You most defiantly have a photographic memory! Every single detail, from the rocks to all the imperfections on the tile. You are so gifted I have no words. I lots my Chocolate Lab to bone cancer. I would be blessed to have the gift to capture her soul in a drawing. That is exactly what you just did for yours. The memories break me up every time because pets as we know do a lot of silly stuff or just memorable things. I guess I will try to draw one of my buddies as well.

My Labrador passed away at 14 too, in February. I'm 20 and he was a part of my life. I hope he can be there again. :/ This drawing is absolutely beautiful and made me think of him. Dogs are so lovely ! Good memories with us. (And sorry for my english :) )

I feel so sad for passed pets, and the people who owned them of course. I had several fish that passed away, I think 2-3. My mom has a snake who was overfed by a petsitter, she had a lot of cats I think one ran away, there are so many possibilities of losing a pet in passing or running away, it’s so sad. 😕

I love looking at pictures of older golden retrievers because it reminds me of mine. she passed in mid 2014, she was having seizers and had many health issues so we had to put her to sleep. be greatful for your pets and their time here on earth, they're beautiful and happy little things and when they're gone, it hits hard. appreciate your pets, because you don't know when the last time you see them will be💗

I'm so sorry your amazing fur-baby passed away. This is an absolutely phenomenal way to remember her by; an artwork where each stroke of the pencil was filled with so much love. If I had been painting my fur-babies in this situation I probably wouldn't have been able to finish as every time I looked I would start crying... Thank you so much for sharing with us. Does anybody know what she uses to create the stray hairs/highlights in the fur? (The silver blade looking thing) and if you do what is it called?

It’s a scalpel blade to remove some of the pencil after it’s been built up. I work from light to dark in my pencil drawings but she seems to work dark and then remove colour with the blade as well as highlighting with white. The scalpel blade has a very sharp tip. I used them to remove ink from drafting film when a draftsperson.
