I also don't like drawing myself. Mainly because I don't really like to draw my facial features. Maybe I just need to study how to draw them in a way that I like drawing them. But I totally get it.

Its not just you. I struggle with chibis and armor. Always has been 😅 both require basic knowladge of anatomy and design. I mean I cant wrap my head around diablo armors. They are so detailed and correct and have all sort of forms and shapes and still they work. With chibis most of my struggles are with hands 😅 you need to know how and what to simplify. And I hate drawing myself and yet most of my drawings a version of me...

i used a method similar to this for anatomy when i was younger. i drew funky little stick figures and then really tiny doodles of the body itself on top of them for poses, and then redrew the pose larger with details. still use it from time to time

I love this chibi drawing!!!❤️ And to answer your question, I don't really have any trouble to draw myself. I love to draw myself in different situations or interactions with my OCs or different anime chatacters, it can be so much fun, especially when I dye my hair or cut my hair, and I have to figure out how should I draw that. Another idea is when I create different personas for myself, my superhero self or what my appearance would look like if there were no rules to them, I drew myself with pink skin with blue fingers! 😆
