ive had really similar feelings with digital art. traditional art and the process of it feels like a more earnest, genuine method of expressing your feelings and human experience. whenever i create digital art i always had an added pressure of making it as clean as possible bc i feel like the purpose of digital art has limdyof morphed into purely gaining likes. since dogital art is easier to share online

Same here! I used to do my art on digital for a while but realized it was becoming really soulless for me (nothing got finished), and when I move back to traditional I realized how much better my art was on paper and it was just generally much more fun

@@sketchyduvall SAME! I got a tablet specifically so I wouldnt have to learn rendering through spending so much money irl (plus its easier online), but now I dont even want to use digital and I prefer drawing with pens & ink pens! Its much funner for me

this is kinda exactly how i felt when i showed up to my illustration class & everyone had their ipads. i was the only one who had a sketchbook, & even my professor was hesitant of my final pieces being done in physical form. as an artist i connect more with things that are tangible. i want to feel my senses when i create & even sometimes you learn how to incorporate mistakes into a piece
