lovely video chey! I've been trying to think of what the opposite of kitchen mouse meals is because I think that's my dinner time routine. I wanna say "big pig hog trough". I'll leave the specifics up to your imagination.

I don’t think your vlogs are boring at all! I love the relaxing hobbies you do and both your job and perspective as a creative is so unique that it means your day to day is very interesting! Maybe you’ve normalised it a bit to yourself because you’ve been doing it for a while, and are surrounded by fellow artists? but your vlogs are so special imo!! ❤

Your videos aren’t boring-they’re a calm oasis in a world that’s always shouting for attention. It’s a soothing reminder that life doesn’t have to be a non-stop rollercoaster to be meaningful. As for life itself? "Boring" can be a superpower! While the world races ahead in chaos, you're the sage sipping tea, savoring snacks, and wrapping yourself in the simple joys. Your "boring" isn’t mundane; it’s a soft rebellion against the noise. It's like a fluffy blanket fort for the soul-comforting, real, and deeply appreciated. So, keep sharing that peace, one “boring” video at a time, because trust me, you’re someone’s favorite sanctuary.

Thank you for reminding me that eating anything is better than not eating! I have trouble with meals too, feeling pressured to eat "normally" and make "complex meals" but y'know what? I like rice with some seasoning! I will happily eat that for lunch every day!! It makes me nourished and happy!

yeah!! a dietician here on KZbin, @NutritionByKylie, always says, "think of what you can add, not subtract, from your meals" which has helped me a lot in filling out my simple kitchen mouse meals too :D

I just wanna say I LOVE your "boring" vlogs. I find them so relaxing to watch and I relate a ton to the adhd stuff you talk about, so it feels like having a buddy to just hang out with and chill. Oh, you could build a whole kitchen mouse aesthetic! I don't find your vlogs boring at all. It's like a catching up with a dear friend. And the Blundstones...same. I've been living in the PNW for 25+ years, dedicated to my Doc Martins and my Birkes. Now that i'm "if it's colder than 45 degrees outside my feet cramp" years old, and i found myself in Idaho unprepared for a snowstorm that was never in the forecast, i needed boots. I tried my darnest to get those Pikolinos to fit, but the only thing that would was a Blund. I *loathe* dressing like the cool kids. LoL

Between the colors you were wearing and your home decor, it looks like a favorite childhood memory for me. Cozy and snug. Also, as others mention, there is nothing boring here. The giddy dance I did when I sat down to draw and saw a new vlog! 🤩I didn't discover platters or even BAGELS until my 20s (I'm 25) and definitely my favorite way to eat and I could have bagels every day. I just want to say I love your vlogs, I love how you talk about your art and your process. I also am an artist of many crafts so you inspire me. 😊

Cheyenne, I'm usually just a lurker (have been for years) but the way you described kitchen mouse meals is perfect. I recently discovered my "pickiness" has a name and is very common in ADHD folks which I got diagnosed with a year ago. But it's called Arfid (avoidant restrive food intake disorder) I don't see it much as a disorder for myself but it's nice to know there are people out there that I share a common thing with. Although I'm very proud of myself in 2024 I tried about 10 new foods, I usually make a goal to try only 3 but last year what can I say I was so adventurous. But it means so much to me for you to say "duck them" to the people who would always make fun of my pickiness. I used to be so ashamed of it but now I'm just like so what. I like what I like and I'm going to enjoy it.
@cheyennebartonКүн бұрын
hey, I’ve recently realized I have ARFID too!! just started therapy for it actually :’) and learning that was a huge reason for me getting back into kitchen mouse meals as it makes it way more likely i’ll hit my nutrition goals~~

Wanted to comment though mostly to say none of your vlogs are boring and to be frank I genuinely LOVE when it’s just someone going about their work or life and doing the most basic and watching along. It’s comforting and relatable and inspiring. Happy new year!

This might sound like an insult but I promise it’s not. The “boring”ness of your videos is exactly why I seek them out. I often find other KZbin videos so loud and fast paced, I love being able to put on your videos and just chill out, whether it be while I’m crafting, or studying, or just watching them on my couch. Short form media and other vlogs are often so attention grabbing that I’m kind of burnt out from consuming it. I know I can always count on your boring videos to calm me down (definitely not a word I would use to describe your vlogs btw)

I am very much a platter eater (just had one when I started your video). I capping them my emperor plate because I lounge and pick around the plate. I've found it's been good for actually eating despite my meds blitzing my appetite and it's helping me work through issues around expectations of how I'm supposed to eat. I still absolutely being perceived while eating but the lounging is changing things slowly. Thank you for sharing, it's nice not to feel so alone

what you said about a sense of urgency was so helpful ive always said “time” is a big anxiety trigger for me but that wasn’t quite encapsulating what i needed it to but i’ve now realised i was looking for the term “sense of urgency” because i also create it out of things that shouldnt have a time limit like hobbies and days off here’s to less of that and more slowing down in 2025!!

Every time you talk about almost anything, I relate, and it's been that way for 8 years lol! I also have issues with feeling a constant sense of urgency. I personally love slow vlogs, how people fill out the 'boring', slow moments of their lives interests me. I actually prefer them to vlogs where people are going everywhere and doing everything.

My husband and I have picked up the term "slop bowl" from somewhere on the internet. We both like totally different things so throwing whatever veggies/leftovers/condiments happen to be in the fridge over some rice in a bowl is far less overwhelming.
