@J.Shelby I wasn't a fan of the noise either, I'm an inside person. I've found painting on beaches and fields to be rather empty, it might be good to try and find somewhere near you that isn't busy and try painting there

Amazing sketches! :) I'm from Germany and tried really hard to understand them, but the combination of their mumbling and the loud background noises made it nearly impossible haha. At first he noticed that you're drawing, but I could not understand what he said afterwards. Some seconds later he was just asking his wife which meat she got with her burger whatever she had. But it's pretty normal for Germans to have a rather "cold" look to them. People tend to be more to themselves which does not mean that they try to be rude. At least in my experience haha. I'm sure they liked your drawings. :)

The commentary/ conversation from the two friends was awesome! 🤣 it made me laugh a lot! Also, would you be able to break down how you draw people from life? Like even the basic forms? It was interesting to see how you were sketching them 🙂🥰 I should clarify that, to me it looks like you take a different approach from how you normally sketch to how you sketch from life (when the subject is moving and you have a little bit of time to capture that pose before they move). 🙂

I could never draw in such a place. I hate when people come near me to sneak peak what i'm doing. I guess that is because i'm pretty insecure about the process, and don't wanna fell like i'm being pressured by the eyes of other people. But all the people that talk to you in the videos seem real nice. Great video by the way.

This is very inspiring to watch, because I too used to do the SAME thing in an outdoor department store parking lot(using charcoal). You seem very relaxed. It's a great exercise to develop speed! Oooh, I'd never considered drawing in a food court. Since they're that much bigger, I feel less like I am taking up a space for someone else (or that someone is gonna come over and tell me I need to order more); and I imagine you get a much bigger variety of folk! I am no video editing guru or anything, but when the angle is upside down from filming, it's always worth seeing how it looks rotated. A lot of the time it's easier to film "upside down" especially when working at a table, but for viewing later our eyes will kinda work around the weirdness of the footage if we're looking at it the right way up. I love how much character you got into these portraits! I can genuinley imagine them all there. Also those two guys were great, I can understand why their personalities made them easier to interact with!

Hello Chris. I really love seeing you out sketching from life. That takes courage. I understand a stealthy approach to observing subjects is definitely needed in such a location & on Black Friday no less. So brave. I enjoyed the general buzz of the busy environment around you.
