A good trick to help you remember your dreams better is to not immediately open your eyes and start moving around when you first get up, if you stay still and try to recall your dreams before you get up it can help with memory retention! It's how I keep my dreams in my head long enough to write them down because mine always have really complex plots lol.

Dreams are highly underrated. You can experience literally anything and it feels like real life. You can also use dreams to solve problems and get better at things. Dreams can also he very euphoric. Something I highly recommend is lucid dreaming which is where you know you're in a dream, can practice controlling it or doing a number of other things. It's the most useful skill you can learn because it'll help you with everything else

One dream I always remember even thought it's been years ago... there were three of us and I was the camera man (basically it was first person view) and we were doing a exorcism on this woman, she was very pale had white hair and was wearing a white old gown. The room we were in felt like a cellar, it had no windows everything looked concrete and gray and there was a twin sized bed in the corner of the room where she was laying. I was standing on the far left of the room recording the woman who was possessed, the other person was standing in front of the bed doing the exorcism, and the other person who was just there was standing a bit further away ( I was standing the farthest away from everyone). Everything was going fine until she started screaming and floating in the air like in the movie The Exorcist she then jumped and attacked the one that wasn't doing anything and then jumped and attacked me... this scared the living hell out of me like I said it was first person view so I got jumped scared in my own eyes not on a screen. After this I woke up my heart was racing and I wouldn't go back to sleep that night out of fear I would go back into that dream.

I’m still confused by hearing that some people don’t draw or write their dreams maybe it’s something uncommon to since I’ve been doing it for years👀but I highly recommend doing it even if you’re not an artist cause dreams are representation of your own inner mind cause the messages you say when you’re awake gets developed more in your inner mind and it can lead to anxiety or stress also it could help telling you the things that you’re afraid of or the things that you want to achieve it’s highly linked to you’re awake self it also helps in fixing your mental problems. But all Science aside for me it really helps me to get stories and characters from but do what feels right for yourself 😘😘😘

Dreams are a representation of what your inner mind thinks it’s how you get them I am a person that sleeps alot and got the same feeling of that stuff but bcs I sleep a lot I learned how to change the nightmares to dreams and the opposite, so make sure to clear your mind before sleeping too hours ago so you can get a random dream that is not linked to stress or emotions it doesn’t work all the time but it gives at least a sense of relief from the world. And I wish you guys good dreams 😊😊🥰🥰

My therapist told me it has something to do with my being an empath, but it could very well just be me having a hyper vivid imagination as well. Don't be afraid. Just go with the flow and keep drawing or writing them out. I know for a fact that drawing and writing help me cope with hyper lucid dreaming. Thanks for this video. These artworks are so gooood! I love the atmosphere and grays of the first one and I am OBSESSED with how you managed to draw the water squiggles because they're so cool but I've always had no clue how to even attempt to draw them. The depth in the water one is just amazing. My dreams are either "wait was that a dream or a memory" or "I'm in a field and there's a girl standing in the distance and now I'm in Walmart and I'm flying and my mom is upset that the blue crayon won't fit into the dragon's mouth." I also go through various alternating periods of not remembering any dreams and then I'll remember some. I do love those dreams when I fly. I haven't had real success with lucid dreaming but every once in a while, maybe once or twice in a year, I'll have a few weeks where it's super common for me to fly in my dreams. I wish I could fly. Weirdly enough, too, my dreams don't tend to really be exactly first person? There might be some bits that are but a lot of it feels like third person like in the way a book writer would describe a scene rather than a person talking about their experience. Also does anybody else have the experience where your brain will conjure up some person you know and say "This is Andrew" and it may not look anything like the Andrew you know it's supposed to be but you just accept that yup that person is Andrew because Dream Logic? Thankfully I rarely have nightmares but unfortunately they've been gradually popping up more and more often in the past five years or so. Sometimes they're just basic nightmares but in the last year I've had two particularly distressing ones. I can still remember the way they made me feel. I remember one of them had to do with my family disowning me and threatening me. I also rarely feel super immersed in the dream but, as with the nightmares, in the past few years it's becoming more and more common. I've woken up so abruptly from being deep in a dream (not even because of IRL disturbances) and that feeling of having to forcefully question what is real is Not Fun.

This is my absolute favorite series!! I often have more than three dreams a night, and they're all linked together and reference one another. I'm hoping to become a psychologist in the future, I'd love to study how our walking lives affect dreams. I believe dreams can reveal things about ourselves that we may not acknowledge. Example: I've had over seven dreams of me singing over the past two weeks (I don't sing irl) singing is often associated with joy and progress, which describes my emotions recently as I've gotten accepted for a job I love.

i always felt like my dreams expressed lots of stuff about me and my life too! For example, in hindsight many of my still-in-school dreams were me switching from pov to pov and often not being me but other characters and people, different genders, one amazing time even a dragon. I now interpret that as me continuing my escapisms in fantasy novels and games and stuff into my dreams. I am always having a lot of fun finding all the dream details that are interpretations and references to my day/days before, they can be very vague and based on vibes and extremely personal associations only, but thats why its so fun! The Nightmares after my father died on the other hand were way too much on the nose and explicit, what makes it interesting in another way i think. the amount of times i had dreams were my father returned from the dead or actually didnt die and was just in a coma for example, very telling. and i was always CONVINCED in the dream that he was indeed alive and i believed even the most ridiculous and altering what already happened explanations for him being alive. Basically my brain gaslighting me in extremely eery dreams. I remember one very vividly because it depicted one of many mundane family dinners so perfectly, me, my family, their appearances, voices, even the kitchen and the exact conversations, all could have been copied from some real day, except that i naively asked my father how he managed to come back from the dead, which aprubtly ended the dream. Hope thats not too much venting, i just love exchanging stuff about dreams! (also huge congrats to your job)

@@evi6784 I’ve also had dreams in the past about a relative (my cousin) who died. I don’t normally have dreams about my personal life, since the majority of my dreams are based around fictional characters. But when my cousin died, I had this very vivid dream of her being alive. I was in first person perspective and the dialogue we had felt so real. We ate dinner together at grandma & grandpa’s house (we used to meet there regularly) with the rest of the family, where we talked about how she was unconscious and taken to the hospital, but made a quick recovery. Which is obviously a lie, since she died before even getting to a hospital. But I fully believed it. I didn’t question the reality of the statement in the dream…I was fully convinced then and there that she was alive. But then I woke up from the dream, and reality settled in. I don’t consider that dream a nightmare though. It was actually really pleasant, as it felt like I was living normal life with her still around. But it’s definitely one of the most bitter sweet dreams I’ve ever had

The "pinch yourself to see if you're in a dream" thing has never worked for me. A: I never question if I am dreaming and B: I still have all of my senses in my dreams, some I notice more than others. Another interesting thing, was that I literally asked my sister this morning "Did you have any dreams?" since the topic was on my mind, and then you posted this video, coincidental timing!

I love videos like this where people talk about / draw their dreams. I have aphantasia so although I do dream I don’t get any vivid imagery and it’s incredibly hard for me to remember my dreams once I wake up. When I dream it’s almost like trying to look at something through your eyelashes, I can’t really see anything other than like blurry silhouettes but my brain somehow understands that and I fully understand what’s happening. Even my other senses rarely activate, I usually hear things almost telepathically in dreams, and I only feel and smell things on the rarest occasions but I usually don’t. So it’s always really fun hearing about other people’s dreams and how vivid they can be.

Same here! I most likely have aphantasia as well (I’ve never been professionally diagnosed) so it’s really interesting to see people draw and talk about their dreams since I cant really remember my dreams once I wake up and even If I can for a minute or two, I can’t picture the setting. So yeah, it’s really cool to see videos and content like this!

I think my favorite dream was when I was at my old family home just sitting on the carport. There was till land around the house, maybe 20 feet out, but everything past was like an ocean, with sailboats and orcas passing by in droves. I could almost feel how cool it was, and heard the motors of the different ships, as the orcas fluke in and out of sight. My favorite part is that everything was in this monochrome color, blacks, grays and very light grays. It only lasted 2 minutes, but it felt like hours, and I didn’t mind that. I could almost feel my hair blowing about as I sat there. I also had this dream where I lived in an abandoned oversized plane, in the middle of a parking lot, but that’s another story.

My dreams are really vivid and detailed, and I dream so much. I barely have nightmares but when I do dream of some that actually scares me, it’s not monsters or entities, I’m always getting stalked, assaulted, kidnapped and harassed by men, and always almost get saved except for one time. And I’ve been shot in the head a few times but those really didn’t scare me, it just went bright and I’d feel a slight burning sensation. Feeling things in dreams is a somewhat normal thing as well when I’m dreaming.

One scene from a dream I had that I still remember vividly was this woman in a bathroom, sitting against the door and crying hysterically. What really stuck out to me was that her bottom row of teeth were dented backwards, going inwards towards the rest of her mouth. The whole dream was much longer and confusing, but that's a part of it I'll always remember. Also due to other bits of the dream I think the woman in the bathroom might've been a murderer who was having a breakdown, not out of guilt but because she wasn't...all there.

Sometimes I envy people who can’t feel specific sensations of touch in their dreams. It doesn’t always happen in my dreams, but it’s often enough. Sometimes I even feel some simulated version of pain. Like, it’s not real pain and some part of me knows that, but it still hurts in some half disconnected way. How it really feels it hard to explain but it sucks, especially when it’s in what I like to call an “existential fear” nightmare or something like that, where nothing makes sense but I can still vividly recall everything that happened. I just can’t explain it properly because what’s so terrifying is usually a concept or sensation, like one where everything felt like it was taking an eternity in the most terrifying way possible or one where it felt like I absolutely had to find something but I knew it wasn’t possible. If I had to explain how one of those nightmares looked/felt, my best approximation would be to tell you to imagine impossible geometry, uncomfortable textures, and vague pain/discomfort due to the presence/existence of said things. Anyway nightmares suck. Would not recommend.

Senses in dreams are very common, the fact that people tend to not pay attention to their dreams leads to lower dream recall so it affects how much you remember. Some dreams are as real as this, some even more real, and some are just a hazy mess. It's a mixed bag. You can have more of these experiences by using dream recall practices such as keeping a dream journal

I remember he had light blonde hair, wavy, and bluish gray eyes, and strangely enough he was wearing a sort of silver lipstick. He had a white surcoat on with a collar shaped kind of like a big flower, with petals radiating out around his head, the insides of the petals had a fuzzy texture like short fur. Under that he was wearing chainmail, which covered his entire neck and came up and attached to the underside of his jaw in a weird way

I once had a nightmare that was so vivid, I could feel water on me and when I woke up, I was surprised that I was completely dry

I remember I had this dream/nightmare where I was in my kitchen and I could see everything really clearly like in real life and I got stung by this bee. Not particularly extreme but I’m terrified of bees and the weird thing was I could remember exactly where the bee had stung me for at least a year! 🤔

I always wanted to drae my dreams too! Not only I have very vivid dreams with very detailed backgrounds, but I've had dreams in my life with insanely complex plots. One of them I still want to write as a novel someday - it was a very strange feeling place, with a slight timeless yet dystopic aesthetic, with flashbacks and flashforwards and secrets and politics and even customs that were specific to this dream. And there was also another story about a man that was hired to gather and take care of the kids of a mysterious couple, but when he was hired he only accepted because it was only a possibility that he'd ever need to do anything and they paid well, so he made a lot of mistakes when it came to it and had to learn how to be responsable. One of the kids runs away from home almost after being kidnaped because of him. I've also had specific scenes that were just so intense and cinematic to me that I would be thinking about them for ages, even with no story attached to them! The only bad thing about it all is that most my dreams end in cliffhangers X'D my subconscious is dramatic, lol Ps: just remembered I also had a dream where I was the antagonist but didn't realize it until I woke up and tried to write the dream down! In the dream I had a vivid feeling that those people were evil and I had to kill them to survive, but in fact they were just historians and I was just completely paranoid

Ok, just a last one because it was very visually striking, but once I dreamed I was on a urban building and went down to swim in the pool at night. But as soon as I dove in the water, it didn't look like a pool anymore. The water kept going forever in all directions, and you could see the dark shadows from the infinity under trying to reach the surface. Somewhat far in front of me, there was a big shark. But it was barely moving, only the striking shape looking in my direction. It was more solemn than scary. I floated there for entire moments, looking at it, with it looking at me

I've had some very strange dreams over the years. The one where I have a strong memory of the location is actually two separate dreams. In the first dream, I'm wandering around an endless expanse of sandstone towers connected to each other by stone bridges. It was always night, and the towers were lit by torches. Eventually, I came into one tower that had a cracked broken wall with the skeleton of a monster indebted inside. That's when I woke up, and it was quite a while before I had the second dream. In the second dream, I was in the same place where I woke up. But now the skeleton was gone, somehow knowing what this meant. I immediately ran, their was a thunderstorm this time. I kept running until I got cut off by the monster (now alive), landing in front of me and staring me down with glowing red eye. That was when I woke up, and I haven't had a dream about that place since.

I had a dream once where I got shot and could actually feel the pain in my chest and couldn't breathe properly. It was terrifying and it felt so real
