Really enjoy your commentary. Very different take on many things that are “taught “. Beautiful artwork too!

really good advice for those that are being too technical and mechanical, expression and self expression over perfection!

It was just so interesting to hear you talk about your drawings like that and I just loved everything about this video! I really do aspire to be like you, I love your mindset and the fact that you don't add dates to your drawings, at some point we draw a portrait and think "This is the best portrait I've ever done!" and before you know it, 2 years has passed and you look back at it, probably with better skills than before, but that doesn't mean that that drawing isn't good anymore. What matters is the moment you drew it and how you felt about it :)) So, you got yourself a new fan because I really did enjoy listening to you talk and kind of learning the art of just enjoying drawing and appreciating the masterpieces we make :))

Is these portaits drawn using just graphite pencils or graphite blocks or watercolour graphite? They are amazing 👍❤️
@TonySwaby6 ай бұрын
They are all done with homemade charcoal and the odd colour ones are soft pastel :)

Have you thought about publishing theses in books for sale?
@TonySwaby Жыл бұрын
Yes, I did a mock up to see if there was any interest, there wasn't and it was very expensive. I also looked at selling them as print collections, in small numbers (20ish) and put them in a traditional card portfolio with the marbled cover and string ties. Again it was very expensive :(
