I have wanted to come up with a format for videos that allows me to continue my regular studio routine but also makes it easier for me to find time and make videos. This video is just that; and I'm so happy to be back at it. On this video I recorded a 30 minute timed sketch, a warm-up drawing for practice, featuring the eye of David.

Same feeling. I just don't draw, even though I tried when I was a kid and at some point a few years ago, but it's become clear that my skillset goes in any direction but there 😅 Separate question for Mike, do you find it comfortable to draw on a vertical surface? Does it help with perspective?

I prefer to work on the easel. I do believe it helps with perspective. As for comfort, a drafting table is better for drawing but I don’t mind the trade off working on the easel.
