Loved the reaction! MGK’s mom left when he was 9 years old and his dad left for missionary work so he grew up with his aunt. When his dad was home he couldn’t handle mgk and was basically just drinking from what I understand. MGK found his grandma on the floor and she literally died in his arms from untreated diabetes. He started with drugs (ecstasy) when he was 11 years old to cope with the pain from basically being abandoned by every adult in his life. When his dad found out he kicked him out on the street, mgk was 16 years old then. He and his aunt were super close but she died from cancer in 2017. And after not having talked to his dad for most of his life they finally reconnected and then a year later his dad died, in 2020. So he has felt incredibly alone and abandoned most of his life. That and his heavy drug abuse are some of the reasons for why he has been suicidal. I would recommend: been through it all, the return, glasshouse, burning memories, death in my pocket, save me (music video), lead you on, lonely, and gone if you wanna know more what Kells has been through.
