I had the privilege of seeing Drayton Hall back in 1979, I'm so please to see it still stands and is still being cared for!

What a crowd! When I was there not that many weeks ago there were barely a dozen people in the three hours I was there ... just sat on a bench and talked to the guides.

Cool place to visit! So much history there. Stinks that you cannot video but you can only take pictures. Never understood that rule but respected it. Also that annoys me when people sit or stand in front of you and your taking a video or picture. LOL

Pictures or not you're so lucky to have had the opportunity to see Drayton Hall and talk with the docents-- this house is one of my favorite restoration projects - and I can't wait until I visit there again. Lucky you!

Interesting video. I wish they would of allowed you to video the interior. Photos were very nice, but video would of been great. Neat old place. Thanks for sharing.

The history is truly remarkable here. Thank you for posting it. What a beautiful plantation. That said, the money of this historical landmark should be somehow given to any slaves descended from those that built it and worked it. No better way to use that money albeit very little proceeds I'm sure.
