The newer generation SCPs tend to be uninspired and feel meme-y. They lack the surreal polish of the older ones (series 0002-1999). In the earlier works, parallel universes were treated with a greater sense of mystery and terror. Now it's like some Marvel multiverse.

@@filippohl9097 if you're not aware, the SCP website (which this channel sources from) started about 15+ years ago, and each are written by independent authors. The series number for SCPs (002-999, 1000-1999, etc) denotes the generation they were made. Scp 7066 is a higher number, therefore one of the newest generation. You may be able to see a change in tone across the generations. The Foundation in this entry is depicted as they've figured the parallel universe out to the point they already set up a specialised branch for it. It feels like some Marvel multiverse writing. One of the earliest SCPs I read had the team enter a derelict parallel universe, and it was scarier because it was surreal and unexplained. It felt closer to Junji Ito vibes.
