Dr. Akpoki, I respect your wisdom and intellectual. You are completely wrong on this advice. You are 66, and I am 67. I totally disagree with you on this advice. You are empowering women to exploit men to their detriment, thus leading to divorce in many marriages. There's nothing wrong in a wife helping her husband to support the family and build wealth for the family. After all, marriage is a partnership and not exploitation of one over the other. Please quit giving this type of advice on your platform, for it empowers women to continue to abuse men in a relationship. Please don't use the Bible as a cover for your incorrect advice on marriage. Sorry Sir, marriage is not a "partnership", it is a companionship. You reasoning stems from a so-called Western perspective and this term "partnership" became popular when they decided to invent lgtpq. Dr. Apoki is only talking about what is working for him and everybody has a choice. I visit a site when what I hear is making sense. Once it stops making sense, I will quickly walk away. There is a difference in whatever makes sense and what we are willing to walk with. People know saving money makes a lot of sense, yet some do not save because it is not all that makes sense that is doable. When I am angry in my marriage of 25 years, I freeze - I do not talk again. This is because people give too much irreconcilable stuff when they are angry. So whenever I am angry, I go deaf and dumb.

In summary, GUYS listen attentively. 1. Go and make money, 2. Go and make more money, 3. Be rugged and no messing about with women i.e. no mercy, cos if you fail i.e. money and provision even temporarily, she will not show any mercy (based on what Dr. Apoki is saying here) + you remember how Job wife turned against him by asking him to curse God and die etc. 4. Follow Bible principles and maintain that all round (that means your woman must follow Bible principles too) otherwise both of you are in different camps and she will be struggling to follow your leadership, cos she is also subdued to follow the captain from the camp against God (2 Corinthians 6:14). Finally if you can stay single, better for you, we are in the last days anyway, so what is the point of bringing a woman into your life when things are going down and down steadily (Matthew 19:12, Matthew 6:33, 1 Corinthians 7:32-35, 1 Corinthians 7:7-8, Titus 2:6, 1 Corinthians 7:28) etc.

Irrespective of how times change, we cannot and should not go out of the original and divine design of marriage by God, as defined by the Bible. Look at the separations, divorces and marital troubles today. Even billionaires aren't left out.

Dr Apoki's message is correct BUT INCOMPLETE. In the days of old, only men worked, so it was normal for women to be the way he described, but today, women are taking over men's jobs and reducing men's provision ability, so he ought to advise women to adjust accordingly if they are earning as well. Some women earn more than their men yet wouldn't let their men's account know peace. That is wrong in this day and age. @Dr Apoki, please take note.

Dr Akpoki is a rich man born and practiced medicine when Nigerian economy was still booming, not so many men can live like him, the ones who tried ended up using broken phones, chopped slippers, drove jalopy, retired broke and wretched because of the luxurious treatment they gave their wives. Like I said earlier partnership or nothing. I am also a Doctor too like Dr Akpoki, part of the younger generation who met a harder Nigeria!
