I’m happy my father sent me abroad to study in Eastern Europe. From doing that I was able to send me brother to America. Today we all doing good. I saw Nigeria of today and I run out earlier to make sure that my family will survive today issues. People who depends on government will suffer. Church and mosque 🕌 should be turned to factories but a nigeria can’t even imagine how to build factories

This church slavery is serious. One young pastor in his 40 was advising me to stop being ambitious. He told me my work is useless. The only value is husband and kids. He went on to tell me that I was the one going to work and build him. If all is well, we both enjoy. He has no education, no skill. I asked him about education. he said it's useless. I asked him to go get a job, and I will be single than to be the one building a grown man with no vision

Hmmmm, similar experience dear. My church brother said I shouldn't be picking courses to study, I should just study any course given to me after all, it is for food. I'm an ambitious person, I dream big, and I ended up getting admission abroad to study medicine. I have dreams, plans and actions that I'm carrying out to be financially independent. I still prefer to have a man who can foot the bills, I'm supposed to be a helpmate not the........

@@indolilyindomitablelily7306 Even if your man/husband can afford to foot the bills,it shouldn't be his sole responsibility. What then is the value of your education and knowledge acquired,if you eventually start earning a decent salary or income but don't contribute towards the upkeep of your household? If your husband loses his source of income and you are expected to step up and take charge until he gets on his feet, would you divorce him because he no longer fits the description of your "ideal" guy? You should be able to do more than just "helping".

I've always had the opinion that you can't reply all the trolls online because there isn't all the time available and it's not just worth it. However, we have just enough time and data to reply a few to make a point. There's so much crazy in the world because, most times, the foolish are the loudest.

I was brought up in a strong christian home in Nigeria and also attended a Bible School. I've lived overseas for 25 years and have stopped going to church because I realized that I don't need prayers or Jesus to succeed because the environment made it possible for people to excel. My people back home who live in the church, paying tithes and seeds for financial breakthrough as promised by criminal pastors are all depending on me that doesn't pray or pay tithe to solve their financial needs. They tells me always that their prayers has changed my life while their own lives are nothing to write home about.

I beg to differ on this a bit. The problem is not religion but the people’s mind …. Both the followers and the religious leaders. We try to meet all needs through religion… it’s an incorrect mindset. There is the physical needs, the emotional needs and the spiritual needs for all men. In Africa, mainly due to our upbringing… we try to meet the physical and emotional needs through the spiritual need I.e religion. No need is exclusive of the other. When all needs are met equally…. We begin to make progress. We are getting parenting wrong in Africa. We are creating and perpetuating complex trauma hence our lack of progress. The only difference between Africans / blacks generally and Caucasian is our skin colour. Our brains are the same but then get “injured” while growing up by negative experiences and emotional damages perpetuated by parents and the culture we find ourselves. Even our religious leaders are traumatized…. They all grow up in this environment. It’s the blind leading the blind. May God help us all… It’s a long journey to getting healed
