Fasting is great been doing for about seven years !

Been fasting since I was a child, Ramadan fasting without consuming anything, longer was 19 hours, now been doing intermittent fasting for 6 hours. Two weeks after Ramadan fasting, I had this incredible energy boost, I’m a Walker and fasting never stopped me from doing my long walks, even in the summer.

I wish you had a link to Mindies website. I would like to take a look at this book because I had health issues including being unable to go without food for even 3 hours. I regenerated myself on my own to a level that I can now go 12 hours but... it is tricky to do fasting as I sometimes wake up with fatigue where I feel like dieing and I NEED carbs, its so scary. I need a banana for example. I usualy have to break a fast by taking a late night greek yogurt, mango and nut snack. But it is NOT my bloodsugar causing these fatigues, it is fine, I test this all the time when I get such fatigue. Im sure it is hormonal, because it happens nearly always after heaviest period day even when I take iron supplement (with B12, folate and other crucial red bloodcell nutrients). I am however overweight/first grade obese and this weight is not coming off, not a gram even with some calorie deficit in paleo diet (no sodas, no processed foods). Im tested for insulin resistance and diabetes and none of these, also no active menopause. Im clueless :(

I can totally empathise with you. I can IF okay, but find my body can’t cope if I restrict calories or go too long. I have a problem making energy, so presume it’s related. I can’t exercise either. It’s very tricky when ill health is getting in the way of better health!

Also with you re hormones. A lot of my friends are perimenopausal and on HRT.

@@karentweedley5478 exactly that, I turned mild obese because for most of last summer I was unable to even walk for 5 minutes, due to fatigue and bpm/bloodpressure peaks if I did exercise, I was scared my heart would give up for most of the day. I lost my job because of it as well. I followed healthy diets including plant based, low carb and it made it even worse. I only felt good eating sandwich with cheese and cucumber, just plain salat, fish, red grapes and bananas. My digestion was also out of wack, always hungry, heatburn, belching all day long. All other food made me miserable so obviously it was potassium playing a role. But now I finaly feel better and got my energy mostly back, weight doesnt come off. It never was an issue for me if I ate less, I lost weight and now I absolutely dont. Also dont gain. Its just blocked. I still have some digestive issues, thats why I am interested in this digestion reset, I already take extra fibers (acacia) and pre and pro biotics.

@@karentweedley5478 I would refuse HRT. I never have and never will mess with my hormones. I also have porphyria (a rare disease) which is sensitive for hormones especially estrogen. Even contraceptive that raises estrogen will activate my porphyria so I never took contraceptive. I take natural supplement to balance hormones.

@@MechoLallo I will look it up, sadly many online stores dont deliver to Iceland because they are afraid we are like Norway which rejects a lot of stuff coming from abroad especially food items and therefore they ban all deliveries to Scandinavia.
