This always annoys the crap out of me. Eat this food and it will do this or that. To lead people up a garden path is unconscionable, as far as i am concerned. The reality is..... and read on.... It is a numerous wholistic approach that will promote good health and prevend chronic illness. It starts with "YOU" and a healthy preventative lifestyle. Whole food plant base diet, exercise, no processed junk or take aways, animal derived foods, dairy, oils, salts, sugars. Starting to get the BIGGER PICTURE?

As part of a weight-loss program back in 2002, I had to do a number of blood tests. When my iron came in borderline low, I told the PA who was evaluating the results with me, "How can that be? I eat red meat almost every day?" She looked at me and asked, "Do you ever feel as if your meal sits in your stomach?" I said, "Yes! It sometimes feels like a brick in my stomach an hour later." She said, "It sounds as if you don't have enough stomach acid. Try taking a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar *with the mother* before you eat." I said I would do so. The brick-in-stomach after meals went away, and when I went back for a retest, my iron levels were slightly above the middle of the range. I also noticed that my acid reflux went away. It wasn't until I had been taking the vinegar about 10 years, around 2012, that I started seeing recommendations online, and I was so glad to see them!

2007 I did a full year omad. Now when I do omad, I don’t seem to loose weight. On my 3rd rolling (afd) 36 hour fast. Lost 3.9 kilos already with in this week. 6 kilos to go more or less. Been stuck in this excess 10 kilos since 2008. I feel 36 hours is going to get me back where I need to be. And when know I hit ketogenesis I feel amazing, so much energy. I basically almost have to force myself to eat on my feed day.

Pretty much every piece of food you eat isn't 'natural' according to that definition. We have selectively bred every food item we eat today.

I use to eat a bunch of candy if I I have to travel long distance in a desert. I feel highly energized to walk through desert How can you say sugar inhibit energy production may be it is bad if u are stationary. In the west you seat all day in office or vehicle and you don’t burn it of course it will hurt you. But don’t generalize and demonize sugar. In the Arab it is cos of date which is sweet who can do their living

Just eat whole plant based foods, exercise + you be fine. The irony is, cancer research been going on for decades without a cure but to feed billions in paying people. No cure will be found unless you find the cause. The cause? Bad conventional diets of junk foods, meats, dairy, oils e.t.c. Eliminate those and you be fine.

I used to make my own bread, sourdough, good quality flour, the problem was, I could not stop at one slice!!!!!!! So I got rid of all grains, pasta, bread, rice, legumes. I just eat meat, eggs, fish, full fat dairy, vegetables and a little fruit.

earthwhisperer44 I adore both of you and take your knowledge to heart ! But, MEDICINE from doctors is 'DRUGS '. THOSE I DO NOT LIKE TO TAKE! unless it is a matter of immediate life and death. Medicine, in my mind, is something that is very beneficial. IE: a good walk in a good place; sitting quietly and contemplating; having a loving family/friend near; creating something ; TAKING CARE OF OUR PLANET; and yes --- eating healthy delicious food is good MEDICINE!! Unless it is loaded with all sorts of poisons and chemicals and GMO'd goods - then it is not medicine! I like to think of the food I eat as medicine, because it keeps me healthy and strong !!!!! and.... if we look at our food as medicine, perhaps we all will choose what to eat more wisely! Thank You..... '

maybe I need more coffee, but what did I miss? the simple way to prevent is: no bread and a 12 to 18 hour fast?
@waynenoll19672 күн бұрын
I started eating a mostly carnivore diet a few months ago and do an 18 hour fast 2-3 days each week. I’ve lost 20 pounds and feel great. I still have my 3 cups of black coffee in the morning and I’m not giving up my 85% dark chocolate ( only 3 grams of sugar) and a glass of dry red wine in the evening. I’m 63 and received a high calcium score a couple of years ago. They did a scan with the dye and told me that I had a 60 percent blockage in one artery and 40 percent in another. They did a heart cath and were puzzled because the doctor said he was sure what they were seeing on the scan because the inside of my arteries looked fine. Go figure.

So terrible that most medical doctors including the oncology doctors don't have the knowledge or care what to tell the doctors about nutrition for the cancer patients. It does become very frustrating and it causes stress which everybody knows stress is not good under any circumstance. There needs to be an introduction an introduction for doctors to learn what nutrition is for the cancer patient how important it is to help the cancer patient. Doctors should not tell a patient without having some type of suggestion as to where to go to find the answer nor should they tell their patient to eat anything that is the worst thing that a doctor can do
