Great story! You have an excellent speaking voice and style. Respectfully, FYI : The H&K 416 and M4s are “assault rifles”, mainly defined by their intermediate caliber, 5.56 x 45mm. Just ask any Taliban, they have plenty of them now... Main Battle Rifles are typically 7.62 x 51mm. Since 1995, The Chi-Coms have issued the QBZ 95, or Type 95 chambered in 5.8 x 42mm. SpecOps teams typically have an Operator with a Light Machinegun. “Light” being a relative term. Such as the M249 SAW, squad assault weapon. I believe the air defense system was said to be a 130mm rotary cannon. Those are typically 30-40mm and, at least ship mounted, are referred to as a CIWS, Close In Weapon System, pronounced “see wiz”. You know how governments love acronyms! Canteens have been replaced by Camelbacks. Try one, you’ll love it! The Secretary of State isn’t a member of congress. That’s a Cabinet position. Again, excellent story and narration! I hope this comment is helpful and viewed as constructive. That is certainly my intent. I do some writing and am pretty sure I’m not 100% accurate myself in some area. If I may be of assistance, please contact me through my channel. You have a gift and it would be an honor to assist in any martial questions you may have. Respectfully, Pat

A guy in my unit when I was in USAF back in 90's killed a whole bus full men with an m-60. They broke an ECP on the flight line. One of his buddies he served with told me story said the inside of the bus looked like Swiss cheese and pizzas slung everywhere. I think he said there was 27 on bus and all 27 were killed. He said it was a twisted mess..

Just to point out that the USS Wyoming is in Kings Bay, GA and an Atlantic boat. It's also an SSBN, not an SSGN and would never approach any shores during patrol. Their entire purpose is to be in the middle of nowhere at 5 knots playing like a hole in the water waiting for launch orders.

1)SEALS don't surface their SEAL Delivery Vehicle (SDV) and hide it on shore. They leave it underwater. Even if they wanted to hide it on shore, they could not because those SDV's weigh over 1,800kg or nearly 4,000 pounds. 2) H&K 416 are not battle rifles. They are assault rifles. 3) SEALs would not have direct radio contact with a submarine. During a mission, they will either use satellite communications (SATCOM) connected to the Naval Special Warfare Command operations room or encrypted radio communication to an air asset orbiting over the area of operation or to a ship out to sea.
@Rich77UK

My biggest issue with this story is that Navy seals wouldnt think this much, wouldnt get so involved in the what, where and why. They would go in. do the job given and get out. I have known several Royal marines and one we (a group of us) suspected was ex SAS. NONE go much beyond obeying orders and thinking their way out of issues. No "How or why would this happen, who did this". It just doesnt form part of their function in the worlds worst hell holes. Edit. I want to add i am not suggesting they cannot think....I have the utmost respect and admiraion for the Royal Marines i have known/met and the amazing SAS & SBS. The point i am making is distraction off of focus on a sortee can be deadly so they dont do it.

I understand why they incorporated the Bonhomme Richard into the story, since it did actually get decommissioned after a huge fire. However, we would never scuttle a ship cause the Chinese want us to. Particularly not a Wasp Class amphibious assault ship. We might agree to move it out of the area of the south China sea, but never decomission. Those ships are the flagships for Expeditionary Strike Groups, and thats the primary means by which the US constantly projects power from the sea usijg the Navy and Marine Corps. Plus it doesn't even make sense. We have like 10 of them. Scuttling one would make little difference in the grand scheme. And it's not like we wouldn't lay down another keel to replace it.

Taxi Dancer, author of this aquatic action & abomination based tale is brilliant in their dialogue wording, was direct & to the point, used REAL military terminology succinctly & not overly much + there being a lure, the draw, the hook that edges the reader into deeper water to tread. Wonderful. Such writing is what is a horror aficionado's life-blood, not since 10-12 years-old & reading comics, feeling of "Now THIS is good horror!" MORE OF THIS WRITER.

I could have done without the Trumpism and blind Anti-Chinese Propaganda, but apart from that it was an okay Lovecraftian action story. Does anybody remember sexy grandma or whatever her name was that used to comment on all of the docs vids? Any old school Doc fans here remember the user I'm talking about? Let me know?

I’m almost alway a fan of military sci-fi. Did I read correctly that the Doc was hanging it up 😫. I hope it was wrong.

Well the only error in the story from a military person is secretary of state would not have made that it would be secretary of defense who would make it! Especially under those circumstances!!

heard the first part of this story in the morning, and then learned the other half got uploaded this evening. good now i can listen to it all. But if this actually happened, dumb ol Trump would definitely try suggesting siding with the fish people.

@@DrCreepen All thanks go to you Doc❤️ You're my little piece of "sanity" in this crazy world 🌍 I know that probably makes me sound unhinged considering the content of your tales but the escape is liberating 😁
