I can appreciate needing help falling asleep (I listen to Audible books to go to sleep) but I've always wondered if the authors/narrators take offense at these kind of comments....they might take them as thinking the story is boring. 🤔 But I get it!😊

@@Texan_Patriot I personally think it would be dumb for authors / narrators to think badly of that because it's more the fact that it's a story you can listen to and imagine with your eyes closed that makes it easy to sleep too, plus the super relaxing and soothing nature of most of these narrator's voices lol, it definitely is always something you'll get, those only wanting to sleep, but then even those people might hear something they really like and remember or save it :)

I think some narrators have lovely relaxing voices so I fall asleep but that's ok because it's ok to go back and start where you left off. Just making a good story last longer😊👋🇬🇧

Great one Doc! Loved it! Felt like I heard it a long time ago but there have been quite a few underground types so I’m guessing it’s just the basis that’s familiar. You did an excellent job as always for someone who claims to be feeling so spent. And I, as I’m sure all of your listeners, want nothing more than your health to be of the upmost importance and your life to also be in as best possible order as it can. So we’ll gladly accept a vacation from your works, in the hope for a triumphant return and more of your fantastic deliveries! You have to look out for No. 1 doc as no one else is going to. Great story; but let me cut to the chase. YOU NEED TO TAKE A BREAK, even if just for a few weeks, your mental and physical health is FAR more important than YT. I used to stream all the time, and got so overly burnt out, that I just completely had to stop playing the game. Don't ignore the signs that your brain and body are giving you, especially if you haven't taken a break in 6 whole years. I think I can speak for most of us when I say that it's perfectly fine to take some time off, and, as you mentioned, you need to allow yourself to, "recharge your battery". You will be missed, of course, and again I think I say for the most of us, we won't be upset if you need to take time off. It'll just make your return that much more epic, as well, in my opinion. Just make sure that you let us know at the start of one of your next videos (or add it to this one, if possible) that you'll be taking a vacation, that way, people won't be worried and perhaps it's just me, but I appreciate it when you're open and honest with us, so good on you. Whichever way you decide to take, we'll still be here, waiting patiently so that you can take as much time as you want to. I wish you the best, and hope that you take my advice to some extent. ❣ -Ben

As a gas field worker I can say with certainty that the real horror story is the poor production operator who can't for the life of him figure out how to get wells flowing to potential again. Engineering has been on his ass for 6 months, he's soaped the wells 47 times now and had workover rigs try everything in the books to no avail. At this point, he's begging to just plug and abandon the damn things.

Wow... when was this written? 😂 In this episode, our Usan hero saves fossil fuels from a joint Chinese and Russian plot for world domination, wiping out an intelligent civilisation in the process because they look unlike him. Definitely some values dissonance here. 😆
