SUCH a great explainer of the organs and anatomy! The piece about TVA and the obliques attaching on the back as one tendon has been so important for me as a massage therapist, explaining to my clients why working on their abdomen should help their lower back pain. Now I have a video I can show them, if they're reluctant to take my word for it--thank you!

So many nuggets of information here. My favorite was the piece about excess CO2 in the blood and how the body will pull calcium from bones, muscles and nerves to compensate and regain optimal alkalinity. Thanks for another fascinating video!

While I know pelvic floor work is probably outside the scope of your practice, do you ever see patients who are also doing pelvic floor therapy, and are there things you can do externally or with more superficial muscle groups that will enhance and work in tandem with those therapies?
@DrRussInYourPocketАй бұрын
Such an interesting question. Pelvic floor work is within the scope of my practice but I have not demonstrated or documented it for the channel as it might endanger my ability to post here. There is so much that can be done externally, with sacral fascia, sacrotuberous ligament, sacrospinous ligament, sacrococcygeal ligaments, deep lateral rotators and pubic attachments of adductors.. There are only a few structures that must be accessed internally, and as with most myofascial work, indirect work is often very effective. With the right volunteer and the right camera work I think I can make it work for a video, but I have to be careful with KZbin. Thank you so much.
