Quick nitpick on your PCB: unless dealing with very high currents, it's not a great idea to make direct solder connections to big copper fills. The large thermal mass will make soldering difficult and they joints won't be great like on your PCB. In the future, make sure to activate thermal pads when connecting to big filled areas for easier soldering. Hope this helps!

Hello ! I was wondering, does the machined polyethylene block have a significant impact on the performance of the clock ? In other words, can it be replaced by an easier to source piece of mdf or regular wood ? Thanks in advance and great project !
