Quick nitpick on your PCB: unless dealing with very high currents, it's not a great idea to make direct solder connections to big copper fills. The large thermal mass will make soldering difficult and they joints won't be great like on your PCB. In the future, make sure to activate thermal pads when connecting to big filled areas for easier soldering. Hope this helps!

I love the end result, I have been searching the internet for a clock like this but they al have words, instead of letters! I much prefer the design you have made, but I can not make it myself because I do not have all the machinery that is necessary. So I was wondering if I can buy one from you. It would be so awesome to have such a beautiful clock!

Are you able to post the code you used for the microcontroller? Or point me in the right direction to learn how to do that part?

Hello ! I was wondering, does the machined polyethylene block have a significant impact on the performance of the clock ? In other words, can it be replaced by an easier to source piece of mdf or regular wood ? Thanks in advance and great project !

Have you ever thought about getting one of those ebay laser cutters for etching PCB's?
@DrDFlo7 жыл бұрын
zforce69 I currently do not have the space for a laser cutter, but definitely would be better than a CNC router. Thanks for your question!

Thank you for interest! I apologize, but I gave all the ones I made to friends and family as gifts. Edit: Hey guys I don't sell my products just because that takes time away from my other projects and my PhD studies. Thanks and sorry again!
