The downsides of PET as a filament are exactly why i find it has so much promise as injection-molded material, the problem is, that also requires machinery that's prohibitively expensive and would be best suited for a communal maker space or a larger industrial setup. I keep having hope though for both PET and PLA recycling advancements, because i do have a large concern for what we're dumping into landfils.

printing those big ass prints with no runout assurance in case of snapped fillament seems like a gamble to me :D
