I finally told a friend.. she was shocked, because he does other things to try and show me he cares. My friend said Iam so sorry....people thought we we had a good marriage, in front of people he is different for sure. We've been married 32 years, after my son died he was loving for months, so he can...

Just a general "step" question. When I'm working through the steps in the S-anon workbooks (reading from the blue and green books-as well as reading from "Reflections of Hope"), I find myself getting triggered and wanting to engage in snooping behaviors. I find before doing so, I pray and it's helpful, but the urge to snoop after reading literature is extremely difficult. Am I missing something? Am I just greiving the loss of the "expectations" of my marriage? After a F.A.N.O.S check in with my spouse, he expressed the same feelings of being triggered from his SA literature and workbooks. This surprised me, considering I felt the same way but hadn't expressed it to him. Any advice would be extremely appreciated

Managing triggers is a healthy part of recovery, distinguishing what type they are and making calls to other group members to confide with and get support from when needed. The DVD "Triggered" has a lot to offer you in this area of your journey. www.drdougweiss.com/product/triggered-dvd/

Good day’ If my spouse take medication and can’t preform, do that make them an Intimacy Anorexia .
@DrDougWeiss3 жыл бұрын
If they are still finding ways to please you, probably not. If they are totally avoiding sex, then look at the test at intimacyanorexia.com to see if this is Intimacy Anorexia.
