Years ago, when my youngest was a baby, there were baby wipes infused with Vaseline. That was the best thing I ever used. My baby never experienced any diaper rash with this!! It was a marvel!! Haven’t seen it in years, I don’t know why they discontinued it!! It was a brilliant idea!! This was 1982! 🥰

Speaking of high prices, I found the newish Olay Sensitive Mineral SPF 30 moisturizer on clearance for less than 10 dollars and I love it. For the ear wax, my great grandmother used to buy Sweet Oil from the pharmacy. They still sell it. It’s Olive Oil. What they used to do is heat up some water, pour that water in a coffee mug or small bowl & then place the bottle in there for about 5 minutes. That heats up the oil a little bit. You then take a Cotten ball put it at the bottle opening get a little oil on that & place that in the ear, not too deep, but on the outside. This will help to soften the ear wax.😉

Absolutely miserable, especially since I would get it all over my hands and face. Sure wish I had known about the Domeboro treatment. My mom would coat my face with the old fashioned brown laundry soap to supposedly dry it up. Gotta love those country treatments! 😂 And no, it didn't help. I love mineral oil or baby oil. Whether it's solid and it's like Vaseline or it's in the oil form it is so multi-use. It's too bad that it's been fear mongered.

Walgreens & a couple stores still have mineral oil at more reasonable prices. Is it trendy on tiktok? Cause baby oil is still dirt cheap, and that's just scented min oil. I have noticed that many top oil cleansers have mineral oil, my skin isnt fragrance sensitive, so i use baby oil to remove my most heavy eye makeup, just like in 92, then a lighter oil cleanse for my full face.

I was on a ventilator In a coma in my early 30s. The corners of my mouth stayed so dry and cracked they are scarred now from it. So I learned the lotrimin hack a few years back and now if I even THINK they are getting irritated, I add a little and some aquphor at bedtime and I’m good. But I’ve been wondering if plumping the corners of the lips/mouth with a little filler would even remotely help the root issue of the scars/downturned corners?

With regard to lanolin, it's a very common practice for sheep farmers to "dip" the sheep to get rid of unwanted guests. I would want my lanolin to be from sheep that have NOT had sheep dip used on them. Just an fyi.

❤We use milk of magnesia on ostomy wounds skin breakdown. The ones that don’t protrude enough can leak gastric fluids and develop a lot of peri wound skin problems, especially when there’s a VaC wound adjacent (the tegaderm dressing can irritate). And topical mag with D is the best to quickly heal up scalp psoriasis so I can get a haircut. 😊

I wish I would’ve known about Scaraway earlier this summer when I had a biopsy around my collarbone to remove a mole. It looks like it’s going to be a permanent scar. The procedure was done in August. Maybe I should try this anyway? Also, had hysterectomy in 2022 robotic method. I still have some scars there, but they’re going away kinda.

I had a mole removed in August last year near the collar bone as well. I used the scar away cream and it was fantastic. That coupled with sunscreen during the day to keep the scar protected really helped lighten the scar completely.

A&D Ointment is THE BEST for skin protection for winter sports - it’s thicker than Vaseline (stays in place/doesn’t melt away), great for lips/eyes because it doesn’t smell/taste bad or sting (like Bag Balm does). Can use it everywhere. Trust this New Englander on this one.
