That is a killer album by John Foxx. I always wondered which flanger he was using on the songs. What other minimal wave albums are your favorite?

I think on the Metamatic Album a MXR Flanger was used. I don´t know if it´s a M117 or the more sophisticated MXR M-129 Pitch Transposer from 1979. I really love the stuff from Crash Course In Science, the Liaisons Dangereuses Album, Richard Bone, Chris & Cosey, etc...

Thanks a lot. I’m flattered!

@@knobsswitches i think this is the first demo that explains in depth (being able to actually listen) what you can do with the patches of this pedal. I'm a guitarist and we usually don't understand what cv stuff are. So i think you did a great job there. I say that, cause guitarist might buy this pedal and never relly get the best out of it cause they just don't know what cv is capable off.

@@ksneric Yes, with CV is a lot possible. The great thing on the komorebi and the lethargy from dreadbox is the LFO out. it gives you control over other pedals. a lot of pedals has a CV Input for expression pedals normaly, but you could modulate that input with other sources! have fun with it and try it out!

John Foxx kills with the flanger in Metamatic.

the double flange is not over the top at all, I like that each komorebi would have slightly different settings, almost like creating tonal polyrhythms
@knobsswitches2 жыл бұрын
Yes, it would be nice to have a dreadbox stereo komorebi with more in’s and out’s for that kind of modulations!

Great video! Would love to see you do one on their Kinematic compressor (if you have it!)

Cool sounds my friend but.....When is the KOMOREBI a flanger and when is it a chorus?
@knobsswitches3 жыл бұрын
I would like to say: if you have the Amount and the Feeback under 50% (before 12 o clock) you are in the chorus aerea. Over 50% the Falnger heaven begins ;-)
@MYGAS213 жыл бұрын
@@knobsswitches Thanks ..but....You forgot the static knob. Is it neutral? I thought Chorus and Flanger are different because of the delay times and that Chorus has no feedback....I am confused.

Do you feel they compete with the cluster flux pedal?
@knobsswitches2 жыл бұрын
The MF-108M is of course much more versatile, has more LFO waveforms and more options. At the time, I didn't particularly like the pure flanger sound. I was better off with the EHX Electric Mistress. If you look at the fact that today a Cluster Flux costs around 1500 €, I think the Komorebi is the better choice. But of course, the MF-108M can also give you pleasure ;-)
