Some more tips for newer players: 1) You can detonate some of your missiles mid-air manually. This is usually useful with nuclear torps and missiles, and makes huge difference in hitting a target that is nowhere clse to the ground or on the maps without any. 2) Plasma cannons are actually better at range than the repeaters, but you should not let them hold you back. Get close and personal like the Jack does. Only exceptions to this are Oberon line which have noticeable spread on their primaries and Jutland which have a crazy damage falloff. On those it is worth using repeaters all the time. 3) When your weapon reloads, dont wait. Switch to another weapon systems, make a few shots and then switch back. Also, try to enter every engagement with a full clip. 4) Save your AMS lasers for an occasion when you are under threat of a status missile: disruptor, stasis, anything. Crowd control like this can and will kill you if enemy team is worth its salt. You wont encounter lots of those missiles until you enter the Veteran, however.

Or you can do the... Full power thrusters, fly as high as possible straight for the enemy and blow all your mods at the first ship you see. Hard life for a tactical cruiser on ps4 lol

ah Jutland. it has the speed of a dying tortoise and guns that barely tickles other dreadnoughts at range. until she warp-jumps beside you with a loaded plasma broadside, 8 silos worth of light missiles, switches to repeater cannons, and you realize that emptying your clip at her shield will only make her modules reload faster because her captain already got the retaliator skill upgrade.

easy way to get around the slowness,simply use a lower version of warp (jumps you in facing direction,higher ones are lockons)

While playing as a destroyer, if you have the weapons booster module and full energy to weapons, then it can take out a dreadnought in about 10 seconds. Its OP

manarch t5 repeater guns, starling nukes, light missles, heavy autocannons, warpdrive. once you can get the "get on my good side" officer briefing trust me in a dreadnought you will love it.

I don't know the game that well, so I went all in on Akula ships for the extra armor. It helps a little bit having some tankiness so I'm not exploding before I can see what I'm being hit by. That said I have managed to fail my way to the Chernobog and Dola so I guess I'm doing ok.

Here is something to remember about the manufactures in this game. Jupiter Arms: Decent all round, but have a slight edge in weapons. Akula Vektor: Better armor and hull, design for durability and tanking. They lack speed mostly, but well rounded for weapons. Oberon: Great speed and manuverability, however they lack durability. Weapons are some what balanced as well. (Edit) One thing about the warp jump mod, you have to be looking towards a friendly to jump in their direction. Really useful if you have a friend behind some kind of cover for you to jump nearby to slip around take cover to wait for health to come back up naturally or if a healer is nearby to speed up the process.

That's the general jist, but it doesn't apply to all ship classes, for example. Jupiter arms actually has the tankiest dreadnaught but with sub-par main guns, while Akula Vektor has the dreanought which is more well rounded and armed with arguably better main guns. akula does have the heaviest corvette, Tac cruiser and Destroyer though. You think Oberon would have the lightest tac cruiser and Corvette but those go to Jupiter Arms.

Very true, but for the most part the list holds true. Higher tiers do change it up, however that's mainly tier 5. Tier 4 with the Jupiter's corvette starts to get lighter, but 1-3 sticks to this stipulation for every ship available in their respective manufactures.

they should make a game like this for xbox but the dreadnoughts are wider and a lot bigger and it’s an open world game like u can own a military company and u can fight enemy factions thru out space and on planets and u can also own military complexes on planets and even in different galaxies. it would be dope to have that and u can have fleets, big armies. and ground forces and like tanks and helicopters plus jets. that game would be lit asf but everyone knows they most likely haven’t thought of the idea and it would be hella expensive.

I have only one question: How can I play this. I have an account that I made in april this year. I didnt play for a bit of time and now I cant use the old launcher. I downloaded the game from steam but it resets me back all the way at the start because steam lets me play with my steam account not the one I made earlyer. How can I play on my old account? I am NOT going back to farming my way up again.

Launch the game through Steam and log in using your same Grey Box account info on the 'LINK EXISTING ACCOUNT' half of the new Dreadnought launcher. That's it! Any time you launch the game again your Grey Box account will be already signed in and linked to the Steam account you were signed into at the time. Hey Captain Jack, I love dreadnought and I stoped playing about a year ago and now I just want to play again, the problem is that things had changed since I left and I don’t know how to get to the hangar itself (like where you are now) and just battle. From what i read they shut them down to get ready for new stuff to be integrated. Idk how big it would need to be for shutting them down to be a good option tho.

Yeah because of the steam release they had to change how the servers operate and somehow the whole action gave some problems. I just hope the game is not dying. I also heard that the servers may be online early next week so let's just hope :D

I'd say go with armor booster on Akula or Oberon dreadnoughts; they are mobile enough to get where they are needed (and the oberon dreads are more like destroyers with dreadnought modules anyway); may sound bad to some, but after playing the Jutland and trading some movement speed on it for damage resistance.. I can tell you, everything else feels very mobile XD Also, you got it kinda wrong on your nav: the plasma guns ARE your long range weapons, repeaters get better at close range however. About the Jutland... as much as those huge main cannons look and sound threatening, they are AWFUL. Repeaters are better at any range they can reach, and while the main guns can deal damage at a longer range.. it basically amounts to trying to hurt enemies by throwing pebbles at them. I only use those really when the repeaters are reloading (damage per hit at short range is high, but rate of fire is bad), or to throw said pebbles when i have nothing better to do. Last thing, I would advise anyone who plans on playing dreadnoughts a lot to get a few specific briefings; Retaliator (obtained with the Jutland) makes you DEADLY with your shields up at short range, as the module cooldown goes extremely well with broadsides (especially the plasma/ballistic ones) and other defensive abilities. Since you cant to show your side anyway, Get On My Good Side (obtained on the tier 3 Jupiter Arms Corvette) is also an awesome briefing to have, as a way to sustain shields longer and also recover them faster as you take damage on your sides. Nerves Of Steel on the Vigo is an interesting option, giving you a huge burst of speed if shot at while power is set to engine; after al, no one else but dreadnought is meant to be shot at. Lastly, if you think you can do away with some speed, Slow and Steady makes your ship take 10% less damage, a reduction that stacks additively with your shields and other armor buffs, on top of providing great value considering the health of those ships. Briefings are real game changers here, and I have won duels against enemy dreadnoughts that lacked those briefings even though I had much less health than they did at the beginning of the duel, without the outcome being even close.
