That's a new level of craftsmanship. Looks good. Nothing wrong with Nitro. I've fished from many Nitros over the years. This will make a awesome guide boat.

Amazing job! Nothing wrong with that Nitro at all I had a 901 I should have never sold. Those generations of nitros was way more solid than the nitro of today. Keep up the great work and thanks as always for all the great info you share on here.

I agree I have my 901 nitro 2006 is solid heavy fiberglass,I noticed on mine that u can carry more weight according to the weight plate on driver side , not like cookie clutter of today,thinking buying new boat to retire 4 years, just a good boat & kept it covered, is just coming on 20 years old??

Very good work for sure. Couple things ive learned after doin a few boats now. 1. Goof off is awesome at removing the old glue. 2.youre gonna get hugh if you dont have ventilation. 3. You honestly dont need to remove every little section of old glue. I always go till its smooth and clean bare glass and will continue to do so. But ive got buddies who did minimal glue removal and their carpets still holding great several years later.

TRY 3M ADHESIVE REMOVER-POUR IT ON TOP OF THE CARPET -IT WILL SOAK THROUGH AND THE CARPET WILL PEEL OFF AFTER 20 OR 30 MIN AND THEN USE THE REMOVER TO CLEAN THE EXCESS OFF. MUCH EASIER

This job, what is give or take total cost for uour competition? I know you guys privde better quality and still very reasonable but curious what the other guys would charge for something like this? Materials & labor? 20k?
@Frostin_Austin Жыл бұрын
I’d say about the same. Most cost is just material. My cost on just the electronics/ batteries/ trolling motor was $17,800.

@Frostin_Austin Жыл бұрын
100% I’m all in at $37k and I own it, I can’t believe dudes are paying so much for boats. A motor is $25k, electronics are $20k how these boat companies are charging $50k for wiring and fiberglass is INSANE!!!

Crazy thing is I bought my first bass boat in 1992 a 19ft with everything I needed and I paid 13,000!!! Just 30 years ago!

with the absurd price of new boats. older boat that need fixed up are becoming the average guys boat.
@Frostin_Austin Жыл бұрын
Agreed! Dude, a boat is only as valuable as the working motor, if it floats and the electronics! Absolute insanity these boats going for what they are. A motor new is $25k, electronics $20k. That means people are paying $50k to $70k for a floating piece of fiberglass and a trailer…. It’s robbery.
