Tier-One dream build series. Our first instalment of the dream build series sees us linking up with Blaser and Swarovski to showcase some of their latest products. The Blaser R8 Ultimate Silence represents the pinnacle of Blaser's development and includes an ergonomically designed thumbhole stock, adjustable comb and a fully moderated light weight barrel.
Swarovski Optik's Z8i is an incredibly light weight and versatile scope, lending itself perfectly to a variety of applications whether it be on driven lowland or epic high mountain expeditions.
The Tier-One components used include our world renowned Blaser rings, optic level and our new Evolution bipod.

No, Blaser have used this design for over a decade. The Beretta BRX1 is a similar design.

Ejected cases clear just fine, however the Tier-One level can be mounted in any horizontal position required. Top right, bottom right, top left, bottom left.

The Blaser R8 Ultimate in « all black » is an option or it’s standard ? It’s the same price ? Could we choose that the « Logo » R8 could be not « Gold »... but Grey or DLC, or the color (Grey) of the F16 Game (and the price) ? What do U think of the ATZL ? And u don’t take the special « ring » for catch zoom faster ? Why not ? Do u think it’s not a good option ? Personally I would to take that in my futur configuration. Could u explain ? I'm not sure if Blaser offer the R8 without the gold logo as standard, but knowing Blaser you could have it in any colour if you did a special order with them. Fast throw leavers for quick zooming are handy, but we didn't feel it necessary for this build. We like the ATZL, it's a nice feature and a great trigger with a crisp feel.The Tier-One rings with integrated bubble level can be obtained from tier-one.eu/collections/scope-mounts/products/tier-one-blaser-ring-sets-from-155-00 Thanks for watching the video.

Is this the 230mm or 180mm? My barrel is 52cm and was thinking if it would go all the way to the front with the longer legs on the bipod? Do you include the blaser adapter or is it just the bipod?

Hi, this is the 230mm version of the Evolution bipod. When ordering the bipod from our website you can select the adapter type. If you select 'New Blaser Adapter' from the drop down list it comes with everything you need.

Yes, it's a fully moderated barrel. Works efficiently and makes for a very well balanced rifle.

Very nice build for hunting. Only downside of the R8 is unfortunately a total nogo for me. I have seen the plastic magazine/trigger break during hunts and make the firearm totally unusable. This is a complete dealbreaker. I have also seen people struggling to use an R8 on long range competitions. That did not go well either because of the bizarre magazine solution. But if you can work around that it is a great rifle. Edit: btw, put the bubble level on the left side if you look through the scope with your right eye. That way it is super fast to check level with your left eye while taking a sight picture.

I know what you mean, but it is certainly a very safe system. We've got a couple people with Blaser R8s here and nobody has had any issues losing or leaving a trigger/mag set anywhere.

TheSturmtiger2 : FYI, one can lock the trigger system in the stock. Therefore the trigger and stock never need to be separated. On top of that, Blaser sells the R8 with an entirely fixed trigger system, identical to the R93. So Blaser has you covered from all angles...

I'm right there with ya buddy. In 50 years I've loved me some Mauser 98's, and winchester model 70's. Remington 700's and Ruger M77. Double barrel side by side and O/U's and every action in popular Americana. Lever, pump, semi-auto and single shot. In what started as a moderate dive into some beautiful custom dangerous game rifles i found that the European rifle makers didn't stop innovating 50 years ago. The brilliant engineering found in these Blasers and many other European rifles is wonderful to behold. I feel like a kid again.

Never just trust your eye to set the level ..level the rifle...use a plumb line on a wall and a torch through the optic for a true level and adjust the cross hairs projected on to the wall then the scope is true...then put your other on the scope body....such a shame to spoil a lovely set up...
