For reference my all-round road racing bike (Crits, Road Races, and Hillclimbs) is 9.5kg on Carbon wheels. It's an Alu Synapse which I've heard on a FB group to be much heavier than say a CAAD 8 so I guess the problem lies there. I won't change for a CAAD 8 though because I got used to internal cables and bikes don't look good in my eyes with external routing anymore lol. Kinda ate the words I said in 2018 where I said I'll never ride an internally routed bike because I didn't like it then. Just like how I've recently been less disgusted by disc brakes on road bikes. Maybe I'm growing old and learned to accept change.

Glueing big mtb tubulars on narrow rims cause big problems when cornering, in example bontrager made wide tubular rims for properly mounting a 33 mm cx tubular, these dugast tubulars are much wider so there is high risk of rolling the tubulars off the rims when cornering
@astu46 Жыл бұрын
nice components, but poor desicions on this build. no grease on the fork or BB, handle bar out of angle, etc...
Haven't seen a stem that long on an MTB in actual years.

I have a Scott Scale RC that I could theoretically get down to a similar weight as this... I have it built with wider tires, rims, and inserts for comfort, but it would be very satisfying getting it to sub 20lb... or I could just lose 2-4 pounds but that isn't as fun.

NICE, what is the frame weight? I had a Focus Raven max SL and frame was about 870. I got it to 20 pounds even with pedals, DT XRC 1200 wheels, some MCFK bars, etc. but thats crazy light. How are those brakes for efficiency?
