When Santa Cruz launched the Bronson back in 2013 it totally changed the game of what a 150mm 'trail bike' was capable of. A bike that could go uphill and downhill with the same ease, was this one of the first 'enduro' bikes?! We have always been huge fans of the Bronson, having owned them ourselves and for this Dream Build we pulled out the stops to create a heavy hitting Bronson capable of any trails you want to throw at it whilst still being light enough to help you get to the top of the hill!
Full FOX Factory suspension throughout with a DHX2 Coil shock being the more unusual feature on this bike. Crankbrothers E11 Synthesis carbon rims laced onto Industry 9 Hydra hubs act as an incredibly strong and lightweight, reliable enduro wheel package. North Shore Billet are one of mountain biking's ICONIC machining shops creating incredible and ingenious components for many years, we chose their new Talon crankset alongside their pedals to provide one of the strongest and most durable cranksets available, besides this they look incredible! Burgtec carbon enduro bars alongside their stem cover the cockpit with Hope Enduro brakes taking care of stopping duties.
Tyres are Maxxis front and rear with the Assegai upfront bringing the grip. Shimano XT forms the drivetrain providing reliable, robust and lightweight drivetrain with a huge range!

Hazet have been making tools at their factory in Germany since 1868 and make a huge variety of tools which are kitting out the Dream Build workshop. Especially useful and exciting for us is how we can incorporate their incredibly accurate torque wrenches and their heavy industry tools into Dream Building!

Knipex need almost no introduction, well known around the world to manufacture the best range of pliers available to the consumer and professional. Our workshop is fully kitted out with a huge range of useful pliers and cutting tools which make our life easier!

Abbey bike tools, we are so proud to be working with these guys after many years of dreaming of their tools which allow us to do our job even better! Their innovation never stops and they're constantly bringing new tools to the market to make bike mechanics lives easier! The best of the best.

Dream Build bikes need protecting from the elements, crashes and anything else life throws at them. After purchasing RideWrap to fit on bikes which we couldn't find protection kits elsewhere, RideWrap have the most comprehensive list of compatible frame protection kits we have found for even the most rare and unique bikes.
www.ridewrap.c...
Years and years of creating numerous Dream Builds, we have used a huge variety of different tubeless sealants, many people recommended Orange Seal and after personal experience using their sealant we are proud to bring Orange Seal into the Dream Build workshop!

One of the best upgrades you can do to any bike is a titanium bolts, we will be working with Better Bolts to take our Dream Build's to the next level with multiple colour options on long lasting, lightweight titanium bolts and hardware.

Feedback sports are well known for making incredible bike workstands for both the workshop and the outdoors, we are excited to be using them to make our builds happen!

@@GeeMilner Thanks for the reply. I've been a Hope fan since the 90s (XC4s) and had to laugh when someone commented on a recent build with "blocky" brakes. A retro build with some Pace RC36 Stealth forks would be killer! Keep up the good work man. You channel makes a huge difference when the world outside is anything but relaxing. 🤘

@GeeMilner I'm putting together my first frame up build and have a silly question: what different types of lube/grease do you use for the different components? I was going to stick with Maxima marine grease for basically everything (with the exception of bar/stem/dropper post) but noticed you used different greases for the headset, BB, etc. Thanks!

Is there any trick to route the housing for the dropper cable through the frame? I own exactly the same bike and built it up myself, but did not manage to get the line for the dropper through the "corner" near the BB. With a rs reverb hydraulic housing, it worked instantly as it is softer and can manage the bend at the corner. Did you use any special cable housing in the video?

I found a lot of swearing helped and using electrical tape wrapped round the end and then into a cone with some grease on it to help it all slide round that bend.

In fairness we didn't have the same issues we have with other frames, maybe we got lucky? Swearing usually does help though...!

Just got back from Whistler bike park where the rental staff asked if I rode “front brake on the left?” My brain stopped for a few seconds, as I was trying to figure out why they’d ask that, before I realized they run em differently depending on where in the world you are. 🤯
