Beautiful bike. I have a 2020 TB4 and love it. I highly recommend trying the cascade components lower link. It transformed my bike, the pop and support you get from the rear end is unreal

I love it with the original setup because if I need more travel then I use my Nomad 😜 but I hat it for uphill 🤣

I too have a 2020 TB4 CC and it's slightly customized with a Fox 36 Root Beer Factory fork. I'm getting the cascade link for Christmas (surprise!) from my lovely wife. ha ha. Can't wait to slap it on there. I also did a review of my bike (and Tallboy in general) as the BEST ALL AROUND mountain bike on my mtb channel. Cheers to Tallboy's!

@@pedalpoonces yes it’s real good allrounder with downhill specs and by the way good wife 🤣🤣🤣🤟🏻

Curious, what would the drawback be? I’m assuming Santa Cruz designed the lower link the way it is for a reason. I have a tallboy as well and interested in the cc link
@pedalpoonces Жыл бұрын
@@sporkcrx I’ve ridden my TB with the cascade link now about 20 times since install. Marked improvement in dh feel/composure and most importantly, confidence it provides me now. The downside is my climbing has suffered (a bit). Maybe 5%? I’m guessing SC created their link for max. benefit on climbs and descents. The cascade link makes it a slightly better dh’r but at the risk of slightly worse climber. That’s my two cents anyways! I do love the link though! Video review coming soon!

Wow! Amazing job. Cheers! I have a Tallboy v4 on order and I can't wait. Hey, if not too much trouble, can you send me a quick list of the different type of grease/oil you used? I am new to mtb maintenance and I only have a blue waterproof grease called maxima and a thin oil for the seat post.
@MTBFichtelhills2 жыл бұрын
Thank you 😎🤟🏻hope you get your TB soon it’s amazing 😍 A few products are linked in the video description. I use different grease for: -Bottom bracket Motorex White Grease -Headset Motorex Bike Grease 2000 -Axles Dynamic Premium Grese All weather -Seat Post MucOff Carbon gripper -VPP Link Mobil1 XHP222

Nice build, thank you for listing the grease and tools required . I’m in America and your links send me to Amazon in a foreign language. I bought a 22’ Tallboy xo1 build and it has developed a creaking sound down by the rear suspension area this week. I put some Carbon paste on the dropper post, cleaned and tighten the seat, also I have re-greased the Cane Creek 40 headset but the creak is still there somewhere. So I am needing to buy tools and the correct grease to quite her back down. I have tools to work on my dirt bike, but need to pick up some tools for the MTB bike now. A torque wrench for lower torque settings is must now.
@MTBFichtelhills2 жыл бұрын
@@mxbigd17 yes the links for tools/parts are German because I’m located in Germany. But if you read the description you can look for this parts in your country. Cracking sounds check: -Pedals (grease the threads) -Check the shock bushings and clean it -VPP bearings clean/grease and use the correct torque for all screws -Bottom bracket check the bearings -check your rear axle clean and put a lil bit grease on it - in rare cases check your crank arms

@MTBFichtelhills2 жыл бұрын
Vielen Dank.

@MTBFichtelhills2 жыл бұрын
