Idk how tf I got into this hobby and how damn expensive these things are, all I know is one thing led to another and came out the shop with a hardtail trail bike. Last month I upgraded its frame into an enduro setup with a recon fork. It's getting expensive af but my god, I can't live without this hobby.

Been running a similar build for a few years with mech Dura Ace, Ultegra clutched derailleur, deepish gravel wheelset with 32 Pathfinder Pros. Fast everywhere and great on bad pavement or light gravel.

How much does the liquid latex weigh? 120 gms? A dry latex inner tube is 85g and just as supple. No need to use all that assembly paste, the seatpost clamp works fine, as does the bar clamp. But I'd like to find a cable DA groupset.

I’m enjoying the bike so far kzbin.infoUgkxMesz3KOGEmwmvyKQfLfrRSUXLFzfVHZA My only real complaints are the brakes and the pedals. I feel like a bike designed for bigger people should have much larger pedals and more heavy duty brakes. I’ve only gotten two really good rides out of it, minimal downhill action, and the brakes feel like they’re already going out. A larger person has more momentum, so I think this wasn’t thought through very well. Also, I wear size 13-14 wide shoes. My feet cramp up on these pedals that are clearly made for smaller feet. Since I’m not a pro rider (and I don’t think many are who purchase this bike) I don’t think that the straps on the pedal are necessary at all. None of this takes away from the enjoyment I get from riding, however. I’ll just head to a bike shop to improve on a few things.

The Future Shock (2.0 for this frameset) suspends the rider instead of the bike, which is said to provide compliance without compromising the frameset's riding performance in terms of power transfer. This frameset can run 33 mm tires on a rim with a 17 mm internal rim width.

@@yonglingng5640 thanks but i'm skeptical about that power function adapted to changing terrains, i see it more like a physical stress reinforcement for a race-like bumpy track, ideally arms and fatter tires (45ish) could handle that small travel and personally the weight load of a suspension system plus sacrificing a stiff manoeuvrability are sensible things to consider IMO

Race team bike with gravel wheels, ultegra front derailleur, ceramic speed bb,wtf… this is 100% done on purpose to piss us off… and the compression prior to setting up the ring and installing the future shock… I mean why, you can’t brake without the whole bike shaking due to headset being lose… fucked up part is that you know better… I guess joke on us.
