That’s right if you wanna do a Job professionally like it was intended.. but almost every tool (except for the very specific ones) can be replaced with normal workshop tools and a bit of brains. It’s not like you’re gonna need a whole specialised (pun intended) workshop if you’re a hobby or even a pro cyclist.

@@ukpkmkk_2 yeah most of the tools used are relevant it you're building up a bike from scratch. It's quite nice to watch

@@flawless7019 the only tools I couldn't improvise were the chain tool and the bottom bracket cup (and the crank prying tool on older crank-bb systems), in fact it's embarrassing to admit that i have but the job wasn't quite clean.. So it might be doable.. But just use the tools when available..

@@clems93190 Possible but more likely a rich UK customer order. There is no reason for him to ride a bike assembled by an independant UK bike shop. In addition his build would include a very accurate geometry fit as he has several Spe bike with identical measurements. Luis raced with the same frame but a SRAM groupset at Valence.

An amateur tip.... again... Use left pinky for grease. Use right pinky for paste. It saves a looooot of problems when building/maintaining bike.
@rock69ify2 жыл бұрын
I have two question, why do you put grease on the handle bar and on the cassette body. It's the first time I see it done that way. I have trouble figuring what is the use of doing it. Normaly it's to prevent rust or parts to stick...but I never had a cassette stuck or a handlebar stuck in dirt or rust.

I have a dumb question. So he didn't need a chain tool to link the chain? Have I been away too long and there are newer chains?
@sbccbc74713 жыл бұрын
If you're installing a brand new chain that's supplied with a pair of quick-links (most chains come with a pair now), you just need a chain breaker to cut the chain to the right length. Locking the quick-link just takes a thump at the drivetrain when it's at the top chainline.
