I watch a lot of your videos and I have to say, one, you are a great teacher; second, I absolutely love the expressions on your face when things don't go just right. Lol! Keep up the great work!! Loved this tutorial BTW, I've been wanting to make one of these. :-)

yes, i tried it with sewing thread and it works just as well :) however, wire is easier to control, but sewing thread looks prettier. thanks for the tutorial!

Camille thanks so much for your tutorials! I am so inspired now, I've watched several of them now and I'm going to try a few. I have a question about this one - how would you make the bail on it? I don't do a lot of jewelry making so i'm a little stumped.

Thanks so much for posting these videos. You've helped me learn how to make so many of my favorite wire jewelry pieces. I think it's joe you simplify everything. Your my favorite . Can you do a tutorial how to do a bracelet with suede some how wrapped around a length of rhinestone so that it comes out with the strip of rhinestones in the middle with suede on both sides if you need a photo I will look on line for one in the interim thanks Rhonda from sacramento ca

Thank you for this video....I made one today and it looks great!! plus, I have made lots of tree of life pendants thanks to you too :-)

Where you use the tape it looks like, if someone had the knowledge, they could 'weld' (perhaps JB weld could be used and sanded down to the thickness of the wire since it'll be wrapped), for lack of a better word, the two ends together. As to me the tape doesn't seem like it would last very long. Like the how to though :)

If I make the metal ring 7 inches but keep the wire at 28, would it look too thin? Approximately how many feet of wire do I need then?

this is a great tutorial, i made alot of dream catchers but all of them are holes at the side instead of the middle :(

camille,,,can you show us how to make a DREAM CATCHER ring,,would your technique be the same as the pendent?
@CamilleSharon13 жыл бұрын
@carnagecupcake I know a lot more about wire than I do string. That's all. I can answer questions about the materials better by using wire. I am really happy with the way the finished pendant looks, too.

@ToriFrek I attach a folding bail to the top to put a chain through.

I make real dreamcatchers, and they don't use real string either. I personally don't because string is not up to that type of abuse, of the weaving and constant tugging. Too much change of it snapping or fraying. Wire is perfect for this project :) It'll hold up better over time.

You can, you just have to know how to knot it really tight. I did it on mine just fine.

What kind of wire are you using on this one? I've some fine copper wires (because I absolutely LOVE it's color) but it's breaky and hard and when a loop happens it's surely gonna break soon.
@CamilleSharon13 жыл бұрын
@ihateobamagirl I haven't tried. It might be a little bit difficult if the string is very thin. I think it would work better with yarn or embroidery thread where you could use multiple strands together.
