A few years ago, I broke an amethyst and rose quartz beaded bracelet I've had since I was a kid (my mom made it for me). I've been holding onto what beads I could salvage, for they are very important to me. I didn't want to replace the beads, or add new beads to them, so for a while now, I've been wanting to make something that uses them so that I wouldn't lose them again. And then I found this. Thank you so much for creating this tutorial. :) The amethyst beads are safely in a Tree of Life.

Thought youd like to know, I made 2 tree of life pendants. They are beautiful! The only thing Is my trunk is messy and bulky. Maybe I didn't twist the branches enough. So that I had to much excess wire.? I used copper. I also threw in a handful of another color bead because I was low on white. It turned out great. Thx for sharing.

Hi Camille, Great video. I made one whilst watching it and it has turned out ok. I used copper wire as I always do when trying something new with blue fire polish beads and I like it. Thanks.

I absolutely love this tutorial, it's better than anyone else's I've seen. Thank you for being so detailed about this video. With your help, I have made (and given away 4 of these pendants as presents. What I'm not seeing with anyone else's tutorial is someone making one with a moon in it. Would you be able to do a video on that. I know with this part, it wouldn't be much more to figure out with your knowledge. I'm just starting on learning to make these as my first project jewelry project

@rachel8379 I'm not a huge fan of aluminum wire. When I've tried it out I have found that it reshapes really easily and it is easily marred. It is very soft. For the hoop, where you want something more polished, it can be a problem. If you don't want to use sterling silver, I would recommend copper. It holds its shape really well and is relatively inexpensive. I make many trees out of copper and I love the way they look.

this is the clearest most precise video I have seen yet for the tree of life pendants, thank you so much. How long did it take you to learn them? LUV this tree idea. This past summer I've collected mucho sea glass of all sizes/colors that I would like to incorporate in the tree instead of beads. Of course I will use the smallest pcs I have. Any advise on wrapping them? Most likely the circle should be larger, but I think bulky styles are in right now. xoxo Deb
@CamilleSharon12 жыл бұрын
They might not have the bigger wire, but they should have everything else. They might have pre-fabricated hoops which you can use if they don't have 14 or 16 GA wire. They also are unlikely to have sterling silver wire, but they have other metals, like copper.
