Faheem bhai Assalam Alaikum, ye with due respect ye Hazrat Ali RA ka qawl b nahin hai.. hadith shareef ka mein ne suna tha regarding onion.. .Is there any Hadith wherein Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) advised eating the onions of a place to protect oneself from any potential sickness/disease of that area? Answer The following narration is recorded in Fawaid Ibn Nasr: Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said: “When you enter a land, eat its onions, it will protect you from any plagues.” (Fawaid Ibn Nasr, Hadith: 63) However, ‘Allamah ‘Ajluni (rahimahullah) has stated that the signs of fabrication are apparent in this narration. (Kashful Khafa, Hadith: 228) it is therefore not suitable to quote as a Hadith of Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam). And Allah Ta’ala Knows best. Answered by: Moulana Suhail Motala
