It’s incredible that this type of abuse and control to women is still going on and accepted as normal in this day and age. This is a constant theme in Turkish series. It shows that Turkey is not as advanced and progressive as we would like to think.

Please do not judge people of any country by their movies or series. Turkey is pretty advance in many ways and like the rest of the world there are many different type of people with different cultural practices live there there. The interesting thing in Turkey is that it has a mix of East and West as part of it i.e Ankara is in the Asia and part of it i.e Istanbul is in Europe. Also in parts of the Black Sea region there are tribes. Movie makers and Scenario writers pick topics to attract attention most so they can make money. These are not documentaries

They were a gorgeous couple. I never finished this series bc I hated what happens to the FL. Also it is one of the few roles the actress olays the nain lead and she is a giod person. She is typecast as the devious 2nd lead which is very unfortunate bc this show she was wonderful in it.

I hated her for what her character did to her loving brother and basically caused his death but acting was amazing and she won award for that series.. I saw her again in Zamhari which was like an apology for what they did to Kemal in KS. LOL. It was funny as in Zamhari her character was a spoiled rich kid living in Emir's mansion from Kara Sevda LOL. Glad to see her in positive role

Not sure I can continue watching this, I hate it when parents, brothers try to run their adult/childdren lives and especially when they try to Marry them off, even t old men, not for her happiness but there’s. If she’s old enough to work she is old enough to make her own decisions. Find it really hard to watch. OM Goodness she just said she’s 25 for goodness sake!!

This is not Turkey but all over the world we see this kind of behaviors. Turkish series often use these as it sells.

And the stepmother and her children are very cruel to Elif i wish that Elifs Mother may come take her away from that house she is their slave.
