Bittersweet, placing full trust in the man who let out your tormentor, especially as an audience knowing Phil genuinely would protect him if it came down to that. Phil's role in all this is really interesting. He sided with Dream in the Doomsday War and then, at Techno's behest, helped him escape prison. Despite this, I think he knows what Dream has done not only to Tommy, but also Wilbur. I'm really interested in his side of things going forward, because even from day one, his character has been caught in a constant battle between standing up for what's right and standing beside those he loves.

The acting is amazing. Dream’s voice when he’s talking to Tommy. One second he is screaming “Tommy!” The next he’s talking in the calm but terrifying tone, like when he said “Awww, are you gonna cry?” It makes me extremely terrified, even though I know this is a roleplay. Tommy’s face when he was hiding behind Philza, it showed that he was actually scared. You could see it. The way they both talked were great. They could both get a career in acting if they wanted to.

jeez, the immense guilt you can just feel radiating from c!Sam is impressive. He's genuinely sorry that Dream escaped, terrified that his mistake could cost Tommy his life/sanity, and angry with himself that he let it happen. You can feel it all from his lines, and it's so amazingly acted. Sam doesn't get nearly enough credit for his acting. I'm sorry, but Dream's voice acting in immaculate, he has a different tone of voice for everyone he talks too, and the tone he uses for tommy is so convincing. 6:30 6:58 7:05 7:30 how his voice slowly gets deeper, chills, literal chills. and when listening to tommy, you can hear and feel the terror and pain in his voice.

It doesn't seem that hard, but trust me, voice acting is something that is easier said that done. It's not as easy as they make it out to be. A lot of people can't act for the life of them...

Something I think they should do with the story, is have dream attack Tommy one on one and then once Tommy gets to literally anyone else, dream disappears, kind of like what happened when Tommy ran to Phil’s in this stream, but have it happen over and over again, and have Dream begin to look like an actual good person when others are around, so that even Tommy begins to think he’s going insane

Tommy’s little voice crack when he says “Stand back” is such a tiny detail but it really portrays just how terrified his character is of Dream. They way he visibly struggles to get his words out when Dream even comes close is such an incredible detail for Tommy to include in his acting. It’s so minute but it tells you everything you need to know about their relationship and the trauma Dream has caused him. Just…Wow. Edit: yes I am stupid, I meant *portrays and never fixed it lol

Both "betrays" and "portrays" work here, but "portrays" is a little less confusing for some readers. "Betrays" would mean that Tommy's trying to hide the fact that he's terrified, but the voice crack gives it away. "Portrays" just means that the voice crack is evidence of his terror. They both work.
