I feel I need to reflect on the scene at 9:55 for a moment to explain how good the role play is in the dream smp. Listen to how Tommy is apologetic to dream after all he has done to tommy. Tommy is VERY sentimental in this moment because in these 5 minutes of dream destroying all of Tommy’s progress.. Tommy, for once, moves away from the materialistic want of power or his discs but simply wants company. Instead of loot and riches he takes the pictures of him Tubbo, with the audience knowing that that’s what he cares about the most... at that. Very. Second. The way Tommy shifts through emotion of despair and apologetic to a happy smile.. when dream states that he will continue to visit Tommy is absolutely amazing and makes even the audience feel bad for Tommy. It makes us, the audience, know that Tommy is now shaving the somewhat selfish shell of what he used to be to reveal something.. brighter.. a man, driven insane by loneliness. In these moments you can connect and feel his emotion in simple “umms” or “erms” and the facial expressions that Tommy makes. This is the true Beauty of this scene that it takes all the change of Tommy in this arc and puts it in this ONE scene. He is no longer Tommy, the boastful, cocky yet lovable man we once knew. He is a man that truly driven mad by simply being alone.. and all it takes to tell us that is a couple face expressions.. I feel this is a great scene.. and it shows how much thought and emotion is put into this script or not.

I hope he realises how serious this abuse story line is. It actually really well reflect domestic abuse stories that arent just physical abuse. Cutting them off from friends. Twisting things to make them think differently. Playing mind games. Taking and destroying their stuff. Slowly limiting what they can do over time. This is controlling behaviour and a real world issue. I love the story and I dont want it censored. I want them to go all in and make it a video game reflection of this real life issue. I know it's a role play and it's a great opportunity for them to raise awareness of a real world issue. Its know as "coercive control" and maybe reaching it could prevent you from ending up in a similar situation

I think he actually did! This type of psychological manipulation exists and it's called gaslighting: the abuser slowly isolates the victim from his friends making himself the only reliable person to the victim. Other than breaking the person's self esteem, it also helps the gaslighter to control the now weak individual. (Like in Rapunzel). :) even if it's terrible and can cause in real life serious problems to the victim, I think it's genius to have such a complex character like Dream having this manipulative behavior. Sorry if there are any errors, English isn't my first language.
