The fact that she just opened the back of the phone to expose the battery ezpz is a key selling point. The way smartphone companies just super duper glue them to force the consumer to pay for basic things like battery replacement or screen replacement is sinister.

I wish LG made a few more comeback phones for their fans. Launch them smaller scale sort of how Sony does things. I'd pay a premium to have their hardware again with access to headphone jack, quad DAC, perhaps add a higher refresh rate screen, and they would have a winner on their hands.

LG hasn't made phones in years. This phone looks like it was released mid-2015, which is just a couple years before LG stopped making smartphones. I want to say technically TCL is owned by LG, but TCL phones are not even comparable to LG phones.

@@kamertonaudiophileplayer847 My LG G5 finally died in June 2022 after 7 years and 2 battery changes. The screen developed ghosting after 2 years so I had to download a blue light filter App to solve this. The GPS was horrible as heck. Battery never lasted long because screen was quad HD. But battery is user replaceable. Excellent main rear camera and excellent fingerprint sensor. I don't think LG Mobile should be revived unless they correct mistakes of the past. Just buy a Samsung A52s if strapped for cash because that's an awesome phone for content consumption and more.

There was a product placement on a K drama a frew years back with this same phone type. It was targeted to eldery because of the design and still was a smart phone as well. For the US market it was sold as one of the last feature phone. Sad they did that. Not sure if the phone was LG or not.

Reminds me of the time T-moblie brought back the Zoey 101 phone. I always wanted one, but we had a different company. I miss old phones. I don't remember the brand, but there are actually are a few that are flip phones with smartphone technology. My grandmother has one. I hope there's a way to optimize the phone to use the keys more, it kinda defeats the purpose of having a flip phone when you have to use the touch screen for modern apps. such a cute phone tho I would get it if I didn't have to touch the screen all the time.

smart flips have an option in the settings to use the keys as a "map" and navigate the apps without touching the screen. these are sooo cute and i love that they incorporate modern smart features 🥰
