Stuff has been coming out since sometime yesterday. Apparently he just wasn't putting in the effort in training, and hardly bothered in the practice match against a local Qatari club. As you'd expect, there's a whole storm that's brewed up over it in social media and the actual media, especially thanks to Berhalter's thinly veiled comments at some leadership summit regarding the matter.

Gio's side of the story is out on his Insta now if you want to show him some support. He had to stand up for himself because of Berhalter's story at that leadership summit as said by others. Why Berhalter of all people was invited to speak at a Leadership Summit is beyond us, unless the head is a casual fan, they still don't know anything.

Gregg doesn't know how to use Gio, that is why he told him before the tournament that he would have a limited role. Hence why Gio acted up(which was wrong). But what do you expect when your coach doesn't know how to use you so he puts players half as talented to just warm up a spot. USMNT deserves more than an incompetent MLS coach at the top level

That was another Alexandru Ionita :D We had 2 at Rapid, one who went to Koln and another who mainly stayed in Romanian football. Ironically they are not related, just had the exact same name.

@@hez859 hes kinda not wrong, he is good enough he has something the midfield doesnt and that shot power and a better vision of the field except for Adams, although he doesnt have the speed like Musah and the awareness and physicality like McKennie he was surely needed in the wc. He does have a temper but that was because of Berhalter. The team however does want him around but there are some onthe national team that voted to send him home, not the youngsters i bet.
