PLEASE READ!!! So I started this animatic on the day the livestream happened, but I suddenly got really busy with life and had to pause it. Then as I was working on the animatic, today's tommyinnit livestream happened, and I just was so exhausted??? Anyhow, I think you can tell my work was sloppy. I really really wanted to complete this animatic, but I rushed it. The original audio was roughly 6 minutes, but I cut it down by a lot, so it sounds choppy af. Basically, I'm sorry this is such a lackluster animatic, I wanted to get something out and because of time restrictions and such, had to cut corners. It's a bummer but it is what it is. ALSO YES I KNOW TOMMY GOT BEATEN TO DEATH WITH A POTATO, LET ME DO MY OWN THING I hope you can still find some entertainment despite that :)

I love how Tommy is the one in control of this situation. Dream is freaking out and continues to try to beat him into submission, but Tommy won't give him the satisfaction of being broken. Great work as always!

I don't think it's necessarily Tommy that has control, but more Dream having a general lack of control over Tommy. He keeps trying to manipulate him but Tommy keeps fighting back and that really frustrates Dream. At the end, yes he's in control because he can overpower Tommy.

The reason why I think that Tommy is in control is because he was not letting himself be manipulated. Dream has a lot of power, but I’d argue that manipulation is his strongest source of power, and since Tommy isn’t allowing himself to be manipulated, Dream has to grapple at other things that make him powerful (the book and his strength), thus making Tommy the one in control over the situation. Dream has stated multiple times that Tommy is too important for him to eliminate, so the only thing he had left was to resurrect Tommy, not even knowing if the book worked. Dream has to gamble Tommy's life (the thing that he would never have done before), all because Tommy rejected Dream’s manipulation tactics. Sorry for the long post, but I hope this explains why I commented the way I did.

I absolutely love Tommy's expressions in this!! You're not afraid to portray malice or hate, you don't exclusively make him look like a weak, helpless victim. He doesn't look all innocent and scared all the time, he looks *angry* and he's standing up for himself. He's worn down, he's so sick and tired of everything and he _hates_ Dream. He _wants_ to hurt him with what he's saying. He wants to cause Dream at least a fraction of the pain that Dream caused him. He wants his revenge

ngl I would've loved if he stayed dead for the ✨ a n g s t ✨ like just imagine how different everything would be, the hotel abandoned, Sam left a broken man, Tubbo dealing with loss, Tommy's dumb cobblestone towers now a depressing reminder of what he enjoyed-- maybe some people would try to get Dream executed, maybe some people would praise him for it,, idk I feel like they could've used his death for a lot of character development and a change of perspective/protagonist I am glad he's ok though

This is a masterpiece, the way you portray this scene is great, the animation fits the scene so well, through their different facial expressions, movements, small details, it helps highlight the sheer weight of the characters words, it really shows their interactions, and how in this scene, Tommy, in all his infinite wisdom, and believing he couldn't die for some reason, or his sheer pride, or spite, takes it too far. Good job!

Dang, this is definitely my favorite depiction of these events yet. Great work! I loved effects when Tommy was inching closer to death. Seeing each heart be taken out one by one as he talked about Schlatt was a really nice touch. And then adding some post-death stuff, the laugh, Sam telling Ranboo and Tubbo, jeez. It’s so good

Y’know, while seeing that he died was pretty painful. The fact that he was just trash talking and antagonizing Dream despite being trapped with him for over a week was pretty nice to see. Being trapped with Dream alone is terrible considering their history, so him still standing strong is nice to see for his character.

Yeah definitely, it was so good to see. Must be frustrating to Dream to have Tommy fight back all the time, when hes so used to being in control. He still has an amount of control over Tommy, but not as much as he probably wants to have.
